Madonna and Julia Garner have dropped one of their best collaborations. The duo shared a video together, showing them lip-syncing along to “Like a Virgin” as the two were enjoying a Venice boat ride, a clear throwback to the song’s beloved music video.
The clip was shared on Madonna’s Instagram and showed them wearing matching looks made up of jeans and jackets, with Garner opting for a black tone and Madonna wearing a lighter shade.
The two sing along to the song as they play around with hats, hiding behind them. The gondolier can be spotted in the background, carefully handling the boat as it sails in between the buildings in Venice. “Like A Virgin……again and again,” Madonna captioned the post.

The post amassed thousands of likes and comments since it was shared, with many of Madonna’s friends and admirers dropping encouraging comments. “This is too much for me,” wrote the playwright Jeremy O’Harris.
“This is so cute!!” wrote the actress Debi Mazar, one of Madonna’s closest friends.
According to reports, Garner and Madonna are currently in Venice shooting the second season of “The Studio,” where they’re both scheduled to appear.

Over the past years, there have been rumors of a Madonna biopic. In 2022, it was reported that Garner was Madonna’s top pick to play herself, with the actress coming out on top of an intensive audition process.
In July of last year, Garner was featured on the “Smartless” podcast, revealing that plans for the film were still in development and that she was attached to the project.
“I’m such a fan of Madonna’s. I grew up listening to Madonna,” she said. “I knew that they were doing a project, making a movie about it, and then… I kind of just wanted to see if I could do it. ‘Cause I wasn’t a trained dancer and then I had to learn how to dance and dance in front of her and convince her that I can dance, basically, and sing, and sing with her.”
Garner revealed that she ultimately got the part by channeling her inner Madonna.
