Married at First Sight star Ryan De Nino has died suddenly at the age of 40. The reality star, who appeared on season two of the US version of the hit relationship experiment, died in New Jersey.
No further details surrounding Ryan’s death will be released, according to a report from TMZ, with his loved ones choosing to keep the circumstances private.
His sister Melissa shared an emotional tribute to her brother on Facebook earlier this week alongside a collection of photographs from throughout his life.
“Ryan was so damn funny and witty,” she wrote. “He was fiercely loyal to those he loved. He had a huge heart, always.”
Opening up about the devastating impact of losing her sibling, Melissa continued: “I can’t explain what it’s like to lose a sibling. Someone who’s been there from the beginning and shares the same memories.”
“No matter what we were going through, I loved him immensely. Life as I know it will never be the same.”
Ryan became known to viewers when he appeared on the second season of Married at First Sight in 2015.
He was matched with Jessica Castro, with the pair meeting for the first time at the altar before agreeing to marry as part of the show’s unusual social experiment.

Their relationship deteriorated after filming, however, and they ultimately divorced. Jessica has now broken her silence following news of her former husband’s death, explaining that the two had not been in touch for years.

Ryan and Jessica’s tumultuous relationship became one of the most talked-about storylines of their season. Their marriage formally came to an end after the show, with Jessica subsequently moving on with her life away from Ryan.
