Meet Keith Richards’ 5 talented children

Keith and Anita’s eldest child, Marlon Leon Sundeep Richards, was born in August 1969 and spent much of his childhood on tour with his parents and the Rolling Stones.

“We were on the road a lot, traveling on tour, and I took my son everywhere,” Anita shared with Alain Elkann. “I did not send Marlon to school until he was eight years old. I taught him how to read and write while Keith’s mother looked after my daughter.”

Marlon met model Lucie de la Falaise in 1992 after being set up on a blind date by his mother, and the pair quickly fell in love before tying the knot in 1994.

He is incredibly private, and now works as an artist, gallery curator and photographer in England. Together, he and Lucie are raising their three kids, Ella Rose, Orson and Ida Violet, in England.

“He’s bringing up his own kids in a very secure way, hands-on all the time because he never got that,” Keith told The Times. Ella is making waves in the modeling, and even worked with her mother for a campaign with Marfa Stance.

Dandelion Angela Richards, who goes by her middle name, was born in April 1972 and spent much of her childhood living with Keith’s mother, Doris. She tied the knot with Dominic Jennings in 1998, yet they separated around 2010, and he passed away in 2020. 

Angela then met her partner, Graham Whitney, and they welcomed kids Ava Melody and Otto Reed in 2011 and 2014, respectively. The couple got engaged in 2020.

While Angela is incredibly private and keeps off social media, her younger sister, Theodora, shared insight into their close relationship with a birthday tribute in 2023.

“You are total star shine…Always making everyone smile wherever you go. Your wonderful children mirror your joy and zest for life…I love you so much and miss you!!!” Theodora wrote of her sister.

Keith and Anita’s third child, Tara Jo Jo Gunne Richards, was born in March 1976, yet tragically passed away two months later from sudden infant death syndrome. The musician was on tour with the Stones in Paris at the time, and had Marlon by his side.

“It was such a shock, at the time especially,” he shared on BBC Radio 4’s Desert Island Discs. “I’m getting a phone call in Paris, and this happened in Geneva, and I thought, ‘I am going to go mad unless I do this show tonight. If I don’t do something that I am supposed to do, if I just sit here with this idea, I don’t know what I’d do.'”

“I had a feeling, ‘This is a show, I must go on stage, and I will worry and grieve and think about all this after the show,'” he continued.

“Maybe it was just a sense of self-preservation. I also wanted to shield Marlon from it at that moment. It wasn’t necessary for him to know immediately because we were on the road. It was a rough, rough thing.”

James Fox, the co-author of Keith’s memoir Life, previously shared with Rolling Stone that the rocker still thought about Tara “every week”, and that he never forgave himself for leaving the baby right after his birth.

After Keith split from Anita in 1980, he married model Patti Hansen in 1983 and they welcomed two daughters together. Theodora Dupree Richards was born in March 1985 and began her career as a model in her late teens.

She has since modeled for Tommy Hilfiger, Harper’s Bazaar and British Vogue, and also hosts her own SiriusXM show, Off the Cuff, where she shares her favorite tracks and interviews celebrities like Sean Lennon and Sheryl Crow.

Theodora is close with her father, and even illustrated his children’s book Gus & Me: The Story of My Granddad and My First Guitar.

Keith and Patti’s youngest daughter, Alexandra Nicole Richards, was born in July 1986 and grew up out of the spotlight, as she told The New York Post. “We had this little house in the woods, and we were so disconnected from the hustle and bustle,” she recalled.

Like her sister, Alexandra became a model in her teens after watching her supermodel mother at fashion shoots growing up. “I’ve always been, like, the shyest person,” she told the publication.

“My mom was still modeling well into her 30s and 40s, so when my sister and I were little, we’d just jump in shoots. It always felt normal to be running around in the background, playing dress-up, and having fun. It was so glamorous.”

“But I was never in the spotlight,” she added. “My mom always wanted me to be in the school plays. My sister always got the leading role, and I was always in the background as a tree or a snowflake.”

Alexandra quit modeling around 21 years old and followed her passion for music by becoming a DJ. She learned the ropes from her close friend, EB Sollis, and the pair became a duo named Ebeneezer Wolf Child. 

After DJing everything from fashion shows to charity events together, the blonde beauty grew interested in charity work and created the nonprofits Sphere and Project 0.

She married filmmaker Jacques Naudé in 2019, and the couple share kids Arlowe Mae, four, and Elvis Nova, who will turn one on February 17.
