Pierce Brosnan isn’t the only famous face in his family, as his sons have inherited his creativity.

The James Bond actor is a father of five children, three of whom he shared with his late first wife, actress Cassandra Harris, who died from ovarian cancer in 1991.

Pierce adopted his late daughter Charlotte, who died from ovarian cancer in 2013, and her younger brother, Christopher, after their dad, Dermot Harris, died in 1986. He and Cassandra welcomed their son Sean in 1983.

He also welcomed two sons, Dylan, 29, and Paris, 25, with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

While Christopher, 53, worked in production on several of his father’s films, including Tomorrow Never Dies, after studying screenwriting at UCLA and directing at the New York Film Academy, he has since retreated from public life.

However, Sean, Dylan, and Paris followed in Pierce’s creative footsteps.

Sean worked as an actor, producer, writer, and director, appearing in several short films and TV shows, including the drama series No Easy Days and the sci-fi film Alien Uprising.

He gave it all up, though, to become a counsellor after returning to school for a master’s degree in clinical psychology.

“I worked for quite a while and made some movies…However, I kind of lost myself along the way,” he told Irish Central. “It wasn’t really my true passion. I ended up getting involved in drugs and alcohol and causing a long trail of destruction behind me.”

Speaking about his current career, he explained: “I basically help people with trauma and anxiety and depression and relationship issues, and a lot of grief and loss as well because there’s a lot of that in my story.”

Dylan is a filmmaker and musician

Dylan Brosnan, 29

As a child, Dylan split his time between his parents’ homes in Kauai, Hawaii, and Malibu, California, when he wasn’t visiting his dad on film sets.

He graduated from USC School of Cinematic Arts in 2020 and is now a filmmaker. In 2023, he worked on the short film, So Many Dreams, about his father’s passion for painting. His credits also include the Bruce Springsteen concert film, Western Stars, and the docu-series Willie Nelson & Family.

His impressive resume doesn’t stop there. He also frequents the fashion world, most recently appearing in the Jacques Marie Mage x Johnny Cash 2025 campaign, and he made his feature film debut alongside his brother, Paris, in 2025’s Western film The Unholy Trinity, starring alongside his dad and Samuel L. Jackson.

Dylan is also a musician and frontman of the indie-pop band Raspberry Blonde. The group released a series of new demos in late 2025, leaning into a 1970s pop-rock aesthetic.

Paris is an artist like his dad

Paris Brosnan, 25

The youngest of Pierce’s children, Paris is an artist like his dad and uses paints to create pieces that explore abstract color patterns and mosaics, some of which are reminiscent of his father’s creations.

He has showcased his work worldwide. In September 2025, he travelled to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for his art exhibition, titled ‘Paris In Motion Rhythm As Instinct Painting As Movement.’

That same year, he unveiled his striking artwork during the opening night of his exhibition ‘Rhythm and Reveries’ at the Georgian Hotel in Santa Monica, California.

In February 2026, he made his UK debut with a collection titled ‘Collective Energy,’ presented exclusively by Clarendon Fine Art in Mayfair. His vibrant art “explores human connection, energy & the rhythm of shared experience.”

And in June 2026, he unveiled his first photo exhibition at Leica Gallery in Los Angeles. “These images were captured across Italy, Paraguay, and Brazil, and it was incredibly special to share those moments in a gallery setting for the first time. Thank you to everyone who came out and supported the opening,” he penned on Instagram at the time.

Like his brother, Paris has modeled for major fashion houses including Dolce & Gabbana and Balmain and has worked as a filmmaker after reportedly studying film at Loyola Marymount University. He also made his feature film debut in The Unholy Trinity.

Growing up with Pierce

Pierce’s sons have previously offered a glimpse into what he was like away from the cameras, and it seems the suave Bond persona could occasionally make an appearance at home.

“We have the best parents you could ask for,” Dylan previously said, while Paris admitted his father became more formidable when discipline was required.

“He’s an actor, so he can get medieval real quick, as he would say,” Paris joked. “We keep it pretty mellow. But he could put on an energy that was a force to be reckoned with!”

Pierce himself once described his parenting style as “more of a soft touch,” although he said there was one thing he would never tolerate from his children: lying.
