Meg Ryan has made a rare public appearance alongside pal Halle Berry, unveiling a gorgeous hair transformation.
The actress joined Halle for a cocktail party to conclude Through Her Lens: The Tribeca CHANEL Women’s Filmmaker Program, and wore cream chinos paired with a black top with an asymmetrical neckline, and a black trench coat.
But it was her noticeably longer hair that caught our attention; Meg is known for her blonde bob, which has become her signature style for many years, but at the New York event her hair hit her collarbone.
The 64-year-old looked effortlessly cool, with the hair styled in loose waves and a zig-zag part.
Meg was one of a five-team jury for the annual program, alongside Halle, Autumn Durald Arkapaw, Regina King, and Ella Rubin. The program took place over three days and saw entrants take part in workshops, one-on-one mentorship and industry conversations.

Jack, 34, towered over his mother in photos from the evening, with the When Harry Met Sally actress looking gorgeous in a timeless little black dress adorned with lace and wrapping an arm around The Boys actor for pictures.

Meg and Jack rarely make public appearances together; they were previously pictured back in 2017 attending a basketball game together in New York City. But the pair are close, with Meg attending Jack’s wedding to long-time partner and The Boys co-star, Australian actress Claudia Doumit.

Meg became the queen of rom-coms with standout performances in Sleepless in Seattle, You’ve Got Mail, and French Kiss, among others, but she stepped back from the limelight for nearly a decade, taking an eight-year break from show business after her directorial and star roles in Ithaca in 2015.
However, she returned to the genre alongside David Duchovny in the 2023 romantic comedy, What Happens Later, which she also directed.
The film follows ex-lovers Bill and Willa as they get snowed in at a regional airport overnight and spend the hours unpacking their past, comparing their present, and looking to the future.
In May 2025 it was announced she would appear in Lena Dunham’s comedy Good Sex, also starring Natalie Portman and Mark Ruffalo. The film will be released by Netflix later in 2026
