Meghan Markle popped into the comments on Instagram with a rare response after her Suits costar Patrick J. Adams joked that he never received any jam from her lifestyle brand.
On April 2, the Duchess of Sussex replied under a video posted by Amanda Hirsch on the Instagram account for Not Skinny But Not Fat. The clip showed Hirsch chatting with Adams, who played Meghan’s love interest on Suits, where he admitted he didn’t get any of her now-famous jam.
“Jams en route for you @patrickjadams & @sleepinthegardn,” the Duchess of Sussex wrote online in response, tagging her former costar and his wife, Troian Bellisario.
“Hugs to those beautiful babies. Send my love to your mom ❤️,” Meghan continued, giving a sweet shoutout to the couple’s three daughters, Aurora, 7, Elliot, 4, and Imogen, 2 months, along with Adams’ mom.
Adams, 44, had opened up about Meghan during the March 31 episode of the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast, in a clip shared with PEOPLE. The conversation turned to her jam after Hirsch asked if Meghan had ever sent him a handwritten note like the one she received, which featured the Duchess of Sussex’s signature calligraphy. Adams even praised it as “impeccable handwriting.”
“You got a jam? I didn’t get a jam,” Adams shared as they discussed the subject.
“How was the jam? Be real… We should taste the jam. We should crack it open,” he joked, with Hirsch agreeing she “should have brought it” to their interview.
The jam has become one of the standout items from Meghan’s lifestyle brand, which she first introduced as American Riviera Orchard in 2024. She sent jars to friends like Kris Jenner, Chrissy Teigen, Mindy Kaling, Tracy Robbins, and Suits costar Abigail Spencer. In February 2025, she revealed the brand would be rebranded as As ever.
Not long after her Netflix series With Love, Meghan premiered, the first As ever collection dropped, featuring fruit jams, flower sprinkles, baking mixes, and teas.
These days, the brand includes fruit spreads like raspberry, orange marmalade, and strawberry, and has expanded into other products like honey, wine, and candles.
