Meghan Trainor has had an eventful start to 2026, having welcomed a new addition to her family just a few weeks ago.
The All About That Bass hitmaker has been enjoying every moment of her newborn daughter Mikey Moon’s arrival, and it appears that this has called for some serious celebration in her family this Valentine’s Day in the form of a new ring.
On February 14, the award-winning singer took to Instagram to share a new series of photos of her young family, including a picture of herself and Daryl Sabara looking loved up.
In the picture, Meghan extends her hand towards the camera, showing off a stunning new ring on her wedding finger.
It appears as if Meghan and Daryl have upgraded the star’s wedding ring, although there was no explanation in the caption.
As a result, many fans were left confused by the photo, pointing out that the couple – who tied the knot in 2018 – were already married. “I thought they’ve been married this entire time,” one wrote, while another remarked: “Weren’t they married this entire time, there’s photos of their wedding!” A third added: “Thought you were married!”
Other pictures from the post included one of Daryl sitting in Mikey’s cot alongside their two sons, Riley, four, and Barry, two, and a photo of a homemade Valentine’s Day card from Barry.
Meghan and Daryl have been dating since 2016, and got engaged a year later. The couple got married in the backyard of their LA home on December 22 2019 – which also happens to be Meghan’s birthday.
They surprised fans on January 18 by revealing they had welcomed a baby daughter via a surrogate. “Our baby girl Mikey Moon Trainor has finally made it to the world thanks to our incredible, superwoman surrogate,” Meghan began in the caption.
“We are forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses, teams who made this dream possible. We had endless conversations with our doctors in this journey, and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family.
“We are over the moon in love with this precious girl. Riley and Barry have been so excited, they even got to choose her middle name. We are going to enjoy our family time now, love you all,” she concluded.
Meghan later opened up about her decision to use a surrogate for her third child. “It wasn’t our first choice, but we had endless conversations with our doctors on this journey, and this was the safest way for us to be able to continue growing our family,” Meghan told People.
“We are forever grateful for that option.” “I want people to know that surrogacy is just another beautiful way to build a family,” she continued. “It’s not something to whisper about or judge. It’s rooted in trust, science, love, and teamwork.” “Every family’s journey looks different, and all of them are extremely valid.”
She went on to praise her surrogate, with whom she had “an incredible” experience.
“Our surrogate is one of the most selfless, strong and loving people I’ve ever met. We felt so connected throughout the entire journey, and I’ll always be grateful for the care and love she showed our daughter,” Meghan said.
“She gave us the greatest gift of our lives. She graciously answered our many check-in texts to make sure she was doing okay.”
