Melania Trump opens up about his growth

Melania Trump is opening up about her growing son. Barron Trump, 19, is spending his father’s second Presidential term living in the White House, with there being some clear differences between his dad’s first term and his second. 

In an interview with Fox News, Melania opened up about her son and his growth over the past decade. “He’s an incredible young man; we are very proud of him,” she said.

Melania also discussed Barron’s intelligence and his investment in his father’s campaign, including his important role in helping his dad acquire the votes of young men all over the country. 

“This time it’s very different because he’s 19 years old and the first time he was 10 years old. He understands politics, he gives advice to his father, we talk about it, so very different,” she said. “He gave him all of the ideas of who he needs to talk to — all of these YouTubers and, you know, podcasts. So he was really a smart mind behind it.”

Despite his growth and the fact that he’s in college, Melania made it clear that her son still needs her to be around and keep an eye on things. “You need to be there for a child nonstop, especially when they need you, especially at that age that Barron is,” she said. 

Much has been said about Melania and Barron’s strong relationship, with the first lady being very protective of him. “[Melania] has a wonderful son that she loves probably more than anybody, including me—I hate to say it,” said Trump in August of last year, at a press conference hosted in the Oval Office.

The Trump family is large, with the world having great investment in Trump’s children. While most of Trump’s kids are grown up, having families and jobs of their own, Barron is his youngest and has remained the family’s most mysterious figure. 

He’s currently enrolled in his second year at New York University’s Stern School of Business, with his mother sharing that he “loves it.” Last year, he was photographed in New York, attending classes and returning home to the Trump Tower guarded by security. This year, it seems like he moved to NYU’s campus in Washington, D.C., living in the White House with his parents.
