“Melania” will be available to stream on Prime Video on January 30, promising “unprecedented access” and “exclusive footage capturing critical meetings, private conversations, and never-before-seen environments” ahead of Trump’s inauguration.

The trailer shows Melania in different settings and some appearances of Trump, with her seen assisting him on camera. “My proudest legacy will be that of peacemaker,” he says.

Footage shows Melania walking into the US Capitol on Inauguration Day, wearing her much-discussed black and white hat, and in other locations, like inside the White House, in Mar-a-Lago, Florida, and at Trump Tower, in New York.

In an interview with Fox News, Melania discussed the film further. “The 20 days of my life, preceding the US presidential inauguration, constitute a rare and defining moment – one that warrants meticulous care, integrity, and uncompromising craftsmanship,” she said. “I am proud to share this very specific moment of my life, 20 days of intense transition and planning, with moviegoers and fans across the globe.”

Melania has signed a multi-million dollar deal with Amazon MGM, and serves as executive producer of the project. Shortly after winning Fox News‘ Patriot of the Year Award, Melania shared that the documentary was an idea she had after Trump was elected to office.

“A first of its kind, capturing the 20 days of my life before the inauguration, 20 intense days of transformation from private citizen to first lady, balancing my business, my philanthropy, fostering the future, building my East Wing team and the White House staff, and, of course, caring for my family,” she said.

Aside from granting unprecedented access to Melania, the documentary also represents a comeback for its director, Brett Ratner. This marks his first feature since 2017, when he was accused of sexual misconduct by numerous women, including actress Olivia Munn. He’s denied the allegations.

According to various outlets, Ratner plans for this film to be the first of many more, including a revival of the “Rush Hour” franchise, with Trump rumored to have intervened in order to get the movie financed. His credits include “X-Men: The Last Stand,” “Rush Hour 3,” and numerous music videos from artists like Mariah Carey, Madonna, and Miley Cyrus.
