Melania Trump is already beginning to infuse her sartorial agenda with a dose of Christmas spirit as she wrapped herself up in a bow for the White House state dinner in honor of China‘s president Xi Jinping and his wife Madame Peng Liyuan on September 24.
The First Lady wore a white cotton blouse courtesy of Saint Laurent. The garment was adorned with a large bow accent and featured sharp shoulders with cuffed sleeves. The blouse was styled with figure-hugging Dolce & Gabbana pants and a belt designed by her stylist Herve Pierre.
Melania’s locks were left down in soft waves while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a glossy nude lip.
Meanwhile, Madame Peng Liyuan opted for a deep red gown that featured long sleeves and a flowing silhouette. The striking garment was styled with a black clutch. Her hair was styled into an elegant updo while her makeup was left natural and glowing.
The evening brought together political figures and business leaders, with a guest list featuring several prominent names from the technology industry. Attendees included OpenAI chief executive Sam Altman, Nvidia boss Jensen Huang, Google’s Sundar Pichai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella.

The First Lady is no stranger to a sleek, sophisticated ensemble. During an interview with HELLO!, Melania’s stylist, Hervé Pierre, discussed the First Lady’s signature refined look. “She likes tailored suits and sharp lines. She will not start wearing ruffles and floral prints just because she is starting a new chapter,” he shared.

For the 25th anniversary commemoration of the September 11, 2001 attacks at the Pentagon in Washington, DC., Melania wore a charcoal-gray pants suit courtesy of Dolce & Gabbana. The tailored number was layered over a black silk georgette blouse and styled with black Manolo Blahniks.

Melania layered a white pantsuit by Dolce & Gabbana over a copper-hued blouse from Max Mara. The stylish blazer was cinched at the waist while the pants were cut elegantly just above the ankle.
