Melissa Joan Hart is living her best life! The Sabrina the Teenage Witch star enjoyed a beach trip over the weekend, and it’s safe to say she had a wonderful time.
Taking to social media, the 49-year-old shared several photos from her vacation, including a candid image of her lounging by the ocean, and another of her posing in a blue bikini in front of a sign that aptly read “Safely landed in paradise”.
Melissa looked incredible in the blue two-piece, showcasing her washboard abs and toned figure in the image.
Melissa’s health kick
The actress recently revealed that she had lost 18 lbs following a health transformation, which included cutting out sugar and alcohol. She recently opened up about the decision to change her diet during an interview with People.
She said: “I just wanted to feel better. It had nothing to do with losing weight. I really didn’t think I could lose weight anymore, being in midlife and perimenopause and all those things, I was like, ‘Can I really lose weight? I don’t think I can.'”
However, Melissa proved herself wrong, and went on to add: “I lost about 18 pounds last year.” The star initially just wanted to “feel better” but realized that by “fasting and cutting sugars and cutting alcohol,” she saw results.
Melissa admitted that she hadn’t had a drink “in over a year”, something that was easy enough for her to cut out of her life as she “doesn’t even enjoy drinking.” “I cut these things out of my life, and I started to feel better. And in doing that, I lost a lot of weight and kind of feel great,” she said.
Family life
Melissa is a doting mom to three sons, Mason, 20, Braydon, 17, and Tucker, 13, who she shares with husband Mark Wilkerson. The star recently opened up to HELLO! about her parenting style, and how she is raising her sons to be aware of their privilege. In 2019 she visited Zambia with her eldest son and returned in 2023 with all three of her sons, where they saw firsthand how aid provides clean water, education, and sustainable income for communities. “The second time in 2023 we took the whole family, and we decided to sponsor three girls because we have three boys and we said, ‘Every boy needs a sister!”’ she said.
Big move
The family lived in Connecticut until 2020, when they relocated to Nashville. Moving to Nashville was a big life change for them all, and something Melissa marked back in 2023.
Alongside a family snapshot, she wrote: “3 years ago today this crew moved to Nashville to make a new home and create new memories… and we added another blonde to the family. (I’m talking about our dog Sully in case you didn’t get it). Happy Nashville Anniversary to us… and a big hug to all the friends, neighbors, teachers and people who have made it such a wonderful place to raise our family.”
