Obama stepped out in high-waisted jeans by Isabel Marant, paired with a crisp white striped button-down shirt and a red sweater vest worn open and unzipped. Instead of a traditional closure, the vest was held together at the top with a safety pin-inspired brooch featuring dangling charms.
She completed the look by pulling her hair back into a high ponytail and layering silver bracelets on her left wrist. The overall effect was polished but relaxed, academic but modern. It was a look that balanced approachability with authority, a combination Obama has mastered over the years.
