Millie Bobby Brown is celebrating her first birthday since becoming a mother.
“22. grateful for my husband and daughter,” the Stranger Things star wrote in the caption of a Thursday, Feb. 19 Instagram post. “for my family and friends. all of my animals. I am so blessed. thank you for the birthday wishes,” she added, signing off with, “ xoxo.”
The post featured a single photo showing Brown seated on a sandy beach at sunset with her young daughter. The pair appeared bundled up in cozy outfits as they shared a quiet moment together.
Brown shares her toddler — whose name has not yet been revealed publicly — with her husband, Jake Bongiovi, 23.
After tying the knot in May 2024, the couple renewed their vows five months later during a destination ceremony in Italy. The British actress and the son of rock legend Jon Bon Jovi welcomed their first child, described as a “sweet baby girl,” through adoption in the summer of 2025.
To mark Brown’s 22nd birthday, Bongiovi also shared a tribute on his Instagram Stories.
“To my beautiful wife, happy birthday. Your heart is like no other,” he wrote, along with a single red heart emoji.
His message included a photo of Brown outdoors on a bright day, smiling up at the camera while interacting with several animals.
The couple has previously shared plans to raise their daughter on their farm in Georgia, where they keep sheep, goats, cows, donkeys, cats, and dogs.
“They have really worked on creating this special family life in Georgia. [Millie] loves her farm — it’s going to be such a special place for the baby to grow up,” a source told People shortly after the couple announced their daughter’s arrival.
Brown has long been open about wanting to start a family at a young age and had spoken about adoption even before becoming a mom.
“I really want a family. I really want a big family,” the Enola Holmes actress said on the SmartLess podcast in March 2025. “I’m one of four. [Jake is] one of four. So, it is definitely in our future, but, for me, I don’t see having your own child, you know, as really any different as in adopting.”
She added, “My home is full of love for anyone and anything. That is what we stand by, Jake and I.”
Just ahead of the holiday season, another source shared with People that Brown was fully embracing motherhood and looking forward to spending Christmas together as a family.
“Millie is honestly the happiest she’s ever been. Becoming a mom has changed everything for her,” the insider said in early December.
“Even with how crazy her schedule is right now with work and all the Stranger Things promo, she’s with her baby girl every second she can be,” they continued. “She can’t even put into words how much she loves her. She’s really excited for the holidays too, since it’s their first one as a little family.”
The source also noted, “Millie has talked about having a big family, so more kids are definitely possible.”
