Cheeky Prince Louis has long been known for his mischievous antics in public – and it appears he’s finally getting recognised for it.
Prince William‘s youngest son, seven, has been crowned the most ‘mischievous’ royal in a poll to mark the 75th “birthday” of beloved cartoon character Dennis the Menace.
This meant he beat his uncle, Prince Harry, and younger siblings, Prince George, 12, and Princess Charlotte, 10, to the accolade.
Louis was placed 22nd out of 75 well-known figures, chosen by a survey of 1,000 children for the Beano, and was described as the “monarchy’s official mischief correspondent”.
Harry, at number 24, was called “royal by birth, rebel by nature”. The Duke of Sussex was once a royal party animal, before stepping down as a senior royal with his wife, Meghan Markle, in 2020.
Charlotte, meanwhile, was also “royal by name… rebel by nature” and George was dubbed “Future King, currently bored kid at parades”.
Even Louis’s grandfather King Charles made the list in 54th place, captioned “the very serious man who sometimes can’t help cracking a joke”. Queen Camilla was also recently immortalised in a cartoon character on The Beano in January.
Prince Louis’s cheeky antics
During the late Queen Elizabeth’s platinum jubilee celebrations in 2022, a four-year-old Prince Louis attracted global attention with his display of cheeky antics.
He was pictured getting overexcited at the parade and pulled various faces, including sticking his tongue out at his mother Kate. At one point, he even put his hand over her mouth, after which Mike Tindall sternly gave him an “I’m watching you” gesture.
During Trooping The Colour, he was pictured with his hands over his ears as the spitfires went past, with his grandmother Queen Elizabeth looking greatly amused beside him.
Even a few years later, it seems Louis still has his cheeky nature. At the VE Day celebrations last May, he was seen playfully teasing his older brother George.
Looking serious, George was seen rearranging his hair with a casual expression, but moments later, Louis mocked him by swishing his own hair with an exaggerated expression.
‘Energetic’ hobby loved by Louis
Young Louis clearly has a lot of energy, but luckily, he’s found a new hobby to keep him occupied. During a visit to Leicester at the start of the month, Kate visited a troupe of Bollywood dancers, later quipping that her three children would “love” the performance.
Speaking to the group afterwards, the royal mother-of-three said: “You must be super fit because it’s super energetic. My children would love that; they love their dancing. Louis would love your dance routine.”
The seven-year-old is also known to play the drums, so it’s likely that the Wales household, at Forest Lodge in Windsor, is quite a noisy one.
