Happy New Music Friday! The weekend is here, which means more streaming, new playlists and the best that music has to offer — and ET has you covered for everything in between.

Disney Music Group released the “Moana” inspired companion album, Moana: Voices Across The Ocean, which is executive produced by Dwayne Johnson, Lauren Hashian, Tiana Nonosina Liufua and Kayla Fa’amaligi. The album features 14 original songs and one cover song of “We Know The Way,” co-written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and Opetaia Foa’i. The album brought together 25 of the most globally successful and up and coming Pacific artists who pulled inspiration from “Moana” into their own musical worlds and identities. The album blends genres of Island Reggae, R&B, Pop, Island Country, Soul, and Dance while infusing Traditional Polynesian indigenous sounds. Dwayne is also a featured artist and writer on the album in a touching dedication to his daughters called “Your Dad.”

KAROL G launched her Viajando Por El Mundo TropiTour last weekend with two consecutive nights at Soldier Field in Chicago, welcoming more than 90,000 fans throughout the opening weekend. Across five acts, the show included immersive staging, live musicians, choreography, pyrotechnics, fireworks, and more. Edward James Olmos appeared on screen to introduce the Tropicoqueta act and KAROL G surprised fans with the debut of her new single “MATADORA.” During her show in Toronto this week, where she became the first female solo artist to headline the venue, she announced her new album No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto. She surprised fans by revealing the album title and release date of August 7 and unveiled the cover artwork across the stadium’s screens for the first time.

The Academy of Country Music announced presenters and performers for this year’s 19th ACM Honors. Performers set to take the stage to honor this year’s honorees include Avery Anna, Big Kenny, Carly Pearce, Carter Faith, Dierks Bentley, Dylan Scott, Gabriella Rose, Gavin Adcock, Kaitlin Butts, Mark Collie, Margo Price, Megan Moroney, Parker McCollum and Trisha Yearwood. Brenda Lee will appear as a special guest and Zach John King will present the ACM Studio Recording and Industry Awards portion of ACM Honors. Dolly Parton will be honored with the ACM Poet’s Award and will accept the honor via a special video message. The 19th ACM Honors hosted by Carly Pearce and Parker McCollum will take place on August 19 at The Pinnacle in Nashville.

The Gospel Music Association announced the nominees for the 57th Annual GMA Dove Awards, celebrating the best in Christian and Gospel music. Top nominees include Jonathan Smith with 14 nominations, Jacob Sooter with 12, Steven Furtick with 11, Phil Wickham with 9, CeCe Winans with 7. Other nominees include Mariah Carey, John Legend, John P. Kee, Brandon Lake, Josiah Queen, Lauren Daigle and more. Tauren Wells will return to host the Dove Awards for the fourth consecutive year on October 6 at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and the awards will broadcast exclusively on TBN and the TBN+ App on October 9.

Ed Sheeran revealed in a new Instagram post that he heard KATSEYE’s “Gnarly” last year and was a fan and reached out to them to see if he could write them a song. He shared behind the scenes footage working on the song they created together. “Animal” is KATSEYE’s new song that will be on their upcoming EP, Wild, out August 14.

Carly Simon revealed her Parkinson’s disease diagnosis earlier this week. She shared that she has been learning how to live with the disease, but it did not stop her from living and working. She said, “In the middle of all this, I began recording a new album, Comes in Waves. That still feels mysterious to me. Music has always known when to arrive. It has rescued me more times than I can count. It is like a cat or dog that quietly appears beside you when it senses you are not quite yourself. The album includes songs and fragments of songs that had been waiting for me, some for years. There were melodies, verses, and ideas written down and tucked away for some unknown future when I would have the time and attention to finish them. Apparently, that future is now. Working on the music gave shape to days that did not always have much shape. It gave me somewhere to go without having to leave the room. It reminded me that illness can change your life without becoming the whole of your life.” Carly’s first album of original music since 2008 will be out on August 14 and she has released a new song “Peaches” today.
