Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos have ended their relationship. The Dallas Cowboys quarterback proposed to his then-girlfriend in 2024.
But, two years later and just five weeks before they were set to tie the knot in an intimate ceremony in Lake Como, Italy, the couple called it quits.
HELLO! has reached out to Dak, 32, and Sarah, 32, for a comment, but did not immediately hear back.Per People, Dak and Sarah are still in shock, as they were planning to walk down the aisle on Friday, April 10, 2026 and “ask for privacy while they sort everything out.” The parents of two “love their girls.” The statement continued: “They’re committed to raising their children together in the most loving and positive way.”
While there were many reports that the couple split after Sarah refused to sign a pre-nuptial agreement, Sarah was quick to squash those rumors. On Monday, March 9, Emmanuel Acho and LeSean McCoy discussed the break up on their podcast Speakeasy, including texts that alleged: “Dak spent the last few months pushing hard for a rock-solid prenup to protect his new bag, and she flat-out refused to sign it.”
The podcast hosts shared the clip to their 739,000 Instagram followers. And Sarah stepped in to set the record straight. She commented on the post: “This had nothing to do with a prenup. I hope we can put that rumor to rest now.”
As of Tuesday, March 10, her comment has received over 1,000 likes. Emmanuel even added a comment to the post, writing: “UPDATE: Dak Prescott’s ex-fiancé has stepped into the SPEAKEASY to clarify the broken engagement had nothing to do with a prenup.”
Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos’ children
The exes share two children together – daughters Margaret Jane Rose, two, and Aurora Rayne, nine months. Sarah gave birth to Margaret in 2024, just a year after she was romantically linked to the quarterback.
Just after Margaret was born, Dak proposed to Sarah during a golf outing. He dressed up his daughter in an adorable onesie which read: “Hi Mommy. Daddy has a question for you.”
Parenting changed Dak and Sarah
In a December 2024 interview with Sports Illustrated, Sarah said: “Obviously, parenting brings a new element to your relationship because it’s not about you two anymore, the priority is your child.” She continued: “[Parenthood] makes you understand your partner on such a deeper, emotional level, and it’s definitely brought us even closer.”
A year later, the then engaged couple welcomed their second child, Aurora. Sarah and Dak are present parents, with both sharing how much having children changed their lives. A few months earlier, Dak spoke with CBS Texas about becoming a father, saying: “I understand the responsibility as a father that I have, and I don’t take it lightly.”
