Nicolas Cage showed off a strikingly different look as he joined his wife, Riko Shibata, for the opening night celebration of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles.
The 62-year-old actor sported tousled silver-grey hair and a full beard, wearing oversized black sunglasses as he posed beside his 31-year-old wife.
Nicolas wore a midnight-blue dinner jacket with a subtle circular pattern and contrasting shawl lapels. An open-necked white shirt, black trousers and polished black loafers completed his outfit.
Riko complemented her husband’s dark tailoring with an ivory ensemble, pairing a high-necked blouse with wide-legged trousers and a long coat featuring sheer sleeves and tied cuffs.
Her straight black hair fell past her shoulders, with a full fringe framing her face. She added a small black handbag with a gold chain strap, while her brightly coloured manicure brought a playful detail to the otherwise neutral look.
The couple held hands in front of a leafy backdrop decorated with sweeping silver shapes. In one photograph, Riko threw her head back laughing while Nicolas smiled broadly beside her.

Nicolas and Riko joined guests celebrating the Los Angeles museum founded by George Lucas and his wife, Mellody Hobson.
Located in Exposition Park, the museum brought together paintings, illustrations, comics and cinematic material to explore storytelling through visual art. Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey and Harrison Ford were among the famous guests at the opening celebration.
For Nicolas and Riko, the evening offered another public glimpse of their relationship, more than five years after their Las Vegas wedding.

Nicolas previously explained that he and Riko met in Japan, where their shared enthusiasm for animals helped them connect.
Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2021 premiere of Pig, he recalled his first impression of his future wife. “We met in Japan and I thought she was stunning when I met her. We had a lot in common,” he said.
During their conversation, Nicolas discovered that Riko owned two sugar gliders. Her unusual choice of pets encouraged him to think they might be well suited.
Their romance subsequently continued across different countries, with Nicolas revealing that he proposed while they were apart.

After months apart, he decided to ask her to marry him over a video call. “We got engaged on FaceTime,” he said, in comments reported by People.
He also described choosing a personalised black diamond ring to reflect her favourite colour and sending it to Japan by FedEx.
The couple married at the Wynn Hotel in Las Vegas on February 16, 2021. The date honoured the birthday of Nicolas’s late father, August Coppola, while the ceremony incorporated Catholic and Shinto traditions.

Nicolas spoke warmly about his relationship with Riko in a 2022 interview with the Los Angeles Times.
“I’m really happily married. I know five is a lot, but I think I got it right this time,” he said.
He also discussed his approach to relationships in GQ’s April 2022 cover interview, explaining why marriage remained meaningful to him. “I am a romantic, and when I’m in love, I want to give that person everything I can,” he said.

Before marrying Riko, Nicolas had walked down the aisle four times. His first marriage was to actress Patricia Arquette in 1995. They divorced in 2001, and he married Lisa Marie Presley the following year. Their divorce was finalised in 2004.
Nicolas then married Alice Kim in 2004. Their relationship lasted for around 12 years before they separated in 2016.
In March 2019, he married make-up artist Erika Koike in Las Vegas, but filed for an annulment four days later. He was ultimately granted a divorce in May that year.
