Nicole Kidman is going through a good time in her life. Following the premieres of the TV show “Lioness” and the movie “Practical Magic 2,” Kidman is continuing her casual romance with Michael Reinstein.
Kidman and Reinstein have been dating for the past couple of months, marking Kidman’s first public relationship since her divorce from her long-term partner, Keith Urban.
“Nicole is dating again after her divorce from Keith and has been seeing businessman Michael Reinstein,” said a source to US Weekly. “It is casual, and she is having fun.”
The outlet claims that Kidman had gone on several dates, but they didn’t work out until Reinstein. The two were set up by mutual friends.
According to the source, Kidman’s relationship with Urban has improved shortly after their divorce, saying that the two are “in a much better place now.” “There’s still a lot of respect between them despite everything they went through.”
The two had one of the most stable marriages in the industry, staying married for 19 years and sharing two kids: Sunday Rose, 18, and Faith Margaret, 15. She shares two adoptive kids with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise: Bella and Connor.
The power of friendship
Kidman has also reportedly relied on her friends throughout her divorce, including Sandra Bullock, with whom she worked on “Practical Magic 2.”
“Being back filming with Sandra was actually really nice for Nicole because it gave her this sense of familiarity and home during a time when so much in her life was changing,” continued the insider. “She’s doing really well now; she’s happy, and it feels like she’s finally on the other side of everything.”
Kidman has also spoken about her divorce herself. “My desire is not to be ruled by my head,” she said in an interview with British Vogue. “But at the same time I’m like, ‘OK, I didn’t expect this. I had a different view of what my life was going to be, but this is what it is now.”
“You make all these plans and you have all these ideas of what it’s all going to be like and then it’s … not. You have to adjust. You adapt. The future, it’s completely unknown to me right now.”
