Nicole Kidman isn’t letting her fifties stop her from reinventing her hairstyle in countless ways. Most recently, she brought back wispy, blunt-cut bangs for her latest red carpet appearance.
The actress stepped out for the premiere of Margot’s Got Money Troubles on April 8. Nicole turned to her longtime hairstylist, Adir Abergel, to transform her tresses for the night. The result was a sculptural bun framed by feathery bangs and longer-length tendrils. As for her makeup, the 58-year-old embraced a glowing complexion with smoky, bronze eyes and a rose-hued lip, courtesy of Mary Wiles.
Suzie McGill, International Artistic Director, Rainbow Room International, spoke to us about Nicole’s new bangs. “Nicole Kidman’s fringe was soft and feathery, working beautifully with her long, cascading waves,” she shared. “Her half-up style allowed the bangs to frame her face naturally, adding a gentle, modern lift to the look.”
Caspar Finch, stylist at one of London’s most stylish and exclusive salons, Hershesons Fitzrovia, previously spoke with HELLO! about how to pull off bangs in your fifties. “When opting for a fringe that you don’t want to style, try experimenting with a soft fringe that’s longer towards the outside of the face. This adds width to the face shape and is universally flattering for all ages,” he explained.
Nicole’s hairstyle was dramatically different from her natural red corkscrew curls. In an interview with Allure, the 58-year-old reflected on her relationship with her natural curls. “Why did I straighten my hair?” she admitted, after being shown a series of throwback photographs from the film Days of Thunder.
“I loved my hair there. That is my natural hair. Isn’t that crazy?”
“‘So for all the little girls out there – embrace the curl. Do not follow in my steps and straighten your hair,” she added.
Despite decades of dye jobs and straightening treatments, Nicole revealed that her natural ringlets are still very much intact. “I can do that to my hair still,’ she said. “But it needs to be kind of humid, and I need to use the right product.”
Nicole Kidman’s outfit
The actress wore a figure-hugging two-piece plucked from Schiaparelli’s fall 2026 show. The co-ord featured a zip-up top and a chic pencil skirt. Both garments were adorned with a white fish scale accent down the front while the slides were left sheer through black mesh panelling.
The ensemble was styled with a pair of trappy black Gianvito Rossi pumps and a silver Ortega watch.
