Nicole Kidman and Simon Baker’s reported romance was on full display on Sunday night when the Australian actress shared a clip from behind the scenes of their new show, Scarpetta, which is currently filming season two.
Nicole and Simon were side-by-side as their co-stars, Jamie Lee Curtis and Bobby Cannavale, stood in front of them and announced that season two was in full swing. She rested her hand on his shoulder as he wrapped his arm around her waist in a touching display of affection for the pair.
“Hi everybody! We are the cast of Scarpetta, and guess what? Season…dos!” Jamie said as she addressed the fans. Nicole then did an excited dance and screamed, as Simon looked on in amusement. They then shared a look between themselves and he laughed at her antics.
“We’re in the middle of it. We’re having such a good time, thanks so much for your loving support,” Jamie added. “We’re so grateful,” Nicole chimed in.
“Here’s the thing,” her co-star continued, “we all know who’s at the door and you don’t! Stay tuned.” Nicole then jokingly placed her hand over Jamie’s face as if to keep the secret in, to which she responded: “Oh, Nicole Kidman put her hand over my mouth!”
Nicole and Simon’s affectionate display in the video caught the attention of fans, who took to the comment section to share their thoughts. “Give me Nicole and Simon all day!!!” said one fan, while another wrote: “They make a cute couple.”
© InstagramThe duo have been friends for decades, with Nicole sharing a close bond with Simon’s ex-wife, Rebecca Riggs, and acting as the godmother to Simon and Rebecca’s son, Harry.
“We have known each other for a huge portion of our lives. I’ve always wanted to do something substantial with Simon,” Nicole told The Daily Telegraph about how she secured a role for him in Scarpetta.

Simon and Rebecca split in 2020 after 29 years of marriage and three kids together. Nicole’s budding romance with Simon comes off the back of her divorce from Keith Urban, which was finalized in January 2026.
© Getty ImagesThe couple were married for almost 20 years before quietly going their separate ways in September 2025. Keith’s close friend and fellow country music star, Russell Dickerson, revealed that despite his personal upheaval, the singer was “in good spirits”.
“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful,” Russell told Page Six. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”
