Patrick Dempsey packed on the PDA with his wife, Jillian Dempsey, as the couple celebrated an incredible 27 years of marriage.
In a sun-soaked photograph shared by Jillian and later reposted by her husband, the Grey’s Anatomy heartthrob leaned in to kiss the beauty entrepreneur while they relaxed together on a boat.
Patrick, 60, was shirtless and wore dark sunglasses, while Jillian showcased her figure in a black string bikini as the sparkling blue ocean stretched out behind them.
The romantic image was accompanied by a sweet selfie showing the couple wrapped up in warm coats and hats during a much colder adventure.
“Opposites attract!” Jillian captioned her original post. “27 years, three beautiful kids, and a lifetime of memories.”
Acknowledging the challenges they have faced along the way, she continued: “Through all the highs and lows, we’ve always found our way. Happy anniversary.”
© InstagramPatrick and Jillian first crossed paths in 1994 when the actor booked an appointment at the Los Angeles hair salon she owned.
Jillian initially suspected his name had been added to the appointment book as a joke, but was pleasantly surprised when he arrived for his haircut.
Although there was an immediate attraction, both were in relationships at the time and they remained friends for several years. Their romance finally began in 1997, with Patrick reportedly cooking dinner for Jillian on their first date. She moved into his home three months later.

They welcomed their daughter, Talula Fyfe, in 2002, followed by twin sons Darby Galen and Sullivan Patrick in 2007. Their children are now 24 and 19 respectively.
Patrick became a household name after joining Grey’s Anatomy as neurosurgeon Dr Derek Shepherd in 2005.

Patrick remained one of the medical drama’s central stars until Derek was killed off in 2015, although he later made a surprise return during season 17.

The couple released a joint statement at the time saying they had decided to end their marriage with “careful consideration and mutual respect”, while placing the wellbeing of their children first.
Patrick and Jillian ultimately reconciled, with the actor later revealing that he had not been prepared to walk away from their relationship.
