Patrick Schwarzenegger has been blessed with some incredibly good genes from his Kennedy side of the family.
The 32-year-old actor turned heads at the Vanity Fair Oscar party on March 15 alongside his model wife, Abby Champion, and immediately drew comparisons to his late relative, John F. Kennedy Jr.
Patrick is the son of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver, the daughter of Eunice Kennedy Shriver and niece of the late 35th president of the United States, John F. Kennedy.
JFK’s son, John F. Kennedy Jr., and Maria were first cousins, making Patrick and JFK Jr. first cousins once removed.
After Patrick and Abby appeared on the red carpet at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) – their first Oscars party as a married couple – fans were quick to point out the similarities between them and JFK Jr. and his wife, Carolyn Bessette Kennedy.
“They remind me of the late John F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife [Carolyn Bessette Kennedy]. Both gorgeous and quite different than his crazy, looney cousin Jack Schlossberg,” one commented on Facebook.
A second said: “The Kennedy genes here for sure.” A third added: “The best looking after John.” A fourth said: “He and JFK Jr. Best looking Kennedys.”
Patrick certainly left a lasting impression in his attire for the exclusive party, wearing a black velvet tuxedo with satin lapels and a matching black shirt, which he wore unbuttoned to display his hairy chest.
Abby adopted the ‘naked dress’ trend and looked beautiful in a black Elie Saab dress, featuring a high neck, long sleeves, an asymmetrical hem, and intricate floral appliqué throughout.
Abby and Patrick finally said ‘I do’ after 10 years of dating on September 6, 2025, a year and a half after the actor proposed.
They were forced to push back their wedding after Patrick was cast as Saxon Ratliff, the arrogant eldest son of a wealthy Southern family, on The White Lotus, just days after his proposal.
The lavish ceremony took place over three days in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. On the first day, the couple held an intimate farm-to-table rehearsal dinner with their families and the wedding party, before throwing a Western-themed welcome barbecue at nearby Gozzer Ranch the following day.
Abby and Patrick exchanged vows on the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene, with her father officiating the ceremony. The reception was held at the nearby Hagadone Event Center.
“I still can’t believe it’s over – it all flew by like a dream,” Abby told Vogue. “I’m so excited to start this next chapter with Patrick.”
Discussing married life ahead of her appearance on the Victoria’s Secret runway last October, Abby told Extra TV: “I love being married. I had the most fun wedding ever. I’m just so happy to have like a sweet, fun husband.”
