Anna Kendrick, born August 9, 1985, is an actress and singer. Anna started out her career as a child actress working in various theater productions. In 1998 at the age of 13, Anna starred in the Broadway musical High Society. She later went on to star in the film Camp in 2003. Anna’s big break came in 2008 when she earned a supporting role in The Twilight Saga alongside Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson.

From there, Anna earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the 2009 film Up in the Air. Her star continued to rise when she led the Pitch Perfect film franchise, showcasing both her acting and singing talents. Over the years, she has also appeared in films including 50/50, Into the Woods, A Simple Favor and Alice, Darling.

Anna expanded her career behind the camera with Woman of the Hour, marking her feature directorial debut while also starring in the film. She later reunited with Blake Lively for the 2025 sequel Another Simple Favor.
