Meghan Markle was feeling the love on Mother’s Day. The Duchess of Sussex marked the holiday on Sunday, May 11, with a new photo featuring herself holding her two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, in her arms.
“Happy Mother’s Day! Cheers to juggling it all with joy!” the With Love, Meghan star captioned the sweet picture. “And to these two gems – who still attempt to climb “mama mountain”, smother me with kisses, and make every day the most memorable adventure….being your mom is the greatest privilege of my life ❤️.”
She added, “I, too, ‘love you more than all the stars in all the sky, all the raindrops, and all the salt on all the french fries in all the world.'”
Back in March, Meghan also celebrated the UK’s Mother’s Day. Alongside a photo of a lemon dessert, the mom of two penned, “Our family tradition. Mothering Sunday in the UK 🍋.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their first child, Archie, in 2019 when they were still living in the UK. In 2020, the Sussexes moved to California after stepping back as senior members of the royal family. Meghan and Harry’s second child, daughter Lilibet, was born in Santa Barbara, CA in 2021.
The couple’s son turned six earlier this month. Meghan commemorated her son’s special day on May 6 with a photo of Archie admiring the sun over the ocean. “Our son. Our sun. Happy 6th birthday to Archie!” Meghan wrote in the caption. “Thank you for all of the love, prayers, and warm wishes for our sweet boy. He’s six! Where did the time go?”
The Duchess continued, “And for all of you who came to celebrate with us at his party last weekend, thank you for making his birthday so incredibly special ❤️.”
Meghan has previously admitted on her podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, that her “favorite” title is mom. “I love being a mom so much. It’s my favorite thing,” she gushed in a previous episode. “It is the thing where you’re like, ‘Oh my gosh, I just need a break, I just need a minute, I just need a minute.’ And the second that you step into the room, you go… Let me scroll through pictures of them endlessly on my phone. My husband is like, ‘My love, can you just give yourself a minute? Why don’t you go work out? Why don’t you go take a bath?’ I’m like, ‘I know, but I just want to cuddle.’ It’s the parenting paradigm where it is so full on and I wouldn’t trade it for anything.”
