Prince William described his younger son Prince Louis as a character during his and the Princess of Wales‘ visit to the National Federation of Women’s Institute (WI) on Monday. In a video shared on X by GB News’ Cameron Walker, the royal dad of three was asked if his seven year old is a “handful.”

“He’s a character, but he’s a very good boy,” the Prince of Wales replied. His Royal Highness added (via the Daily Mail) that Louis likes to “wind his brother and sister up.”

William also shared that when his older son, Prince George, “is behind closed doors, it’s a completely different ball game.” He pointed out that George “just knows how to behave” and that Louis doesn’t.

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ youngest child turned 7 this past April, while Princess Charlotte turned 10 in May and George celebrated his 12th birthday in July.

Last week, Catherine spoke about her children growing up. “They’re getting big now,” she said on Thursday as she and William returned to public duties. The Princess of Wales also revealed that “George is already in my shoes.”

William and Catherine marked the third anniversary of Queen Elizabeth‘s passing on Sept. 8, visiting the National Federation of Women’s Institute (WI) in Sunningdale, England. “The Women’s Institute holds a special connection to Her Late Majesty, who was a member for 80 years, joining in 1943 and serving as President of the Sandringham WI from 2003 until her death in 2022,” the Waleses’ social media accounts wrote on Monday. “Very special opportunity to hear from members today about the importance of The Late Queen’s involvement in the organisation and meet those who met with her during her reign.”

“Three years ago my grandmother passed away, I know she was a big part of the WI and she used to talk about it a lot, so this is a huge honour for me,” Prince William said during the engagement (via the BBC). He admitted, “I can’t quite believe it’s three years already.”

Queen Elizabeth passed away peacefully at Balmoral on Sept. 8, 2022 at the age of 96. In a moving statement after his grandmother’s death, William said: “On Thursday, the world lost an extraordinary leader, whose commitment to the country, the Realms and the Commonwealth was absolute. So much will be said in the days ahead about the meaning of her historic reign. I, however, have lost a grandmother. And while I will grieve her loss, I also feel incredibly grateful. I have had the benefit of The Queen’s wisdom and reassurance into my fifth decade. My wife has had twenty years of her guidance and support. My three children have got to spend holidays with her and create memories that will last their whole lives.”

“She was by my side at my happiest moments. And she was by my side during the saddest days of my life. I knew this day would come, but it will be some time before the reality of life without Grannie will truly feel real. I thank her for the kindness she showed my family and me. And I thank her on behalf of my generation for providing an example of service and dignity in public life that was from a different age, but always relevant to us all,” the Prince of Wales continued. “My grandmother famously said that grief was the price we pay for love. All of the sadness we will feel in the coming weeks will be testament to the love we felt for our extraordinary Queen. I will honour her memory by supporting my father, The King, in every way I can.”
