Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been exiled from all aspects of royal life and is now beginning a solitary new existence in Marsh Farm, on the Sandringham Estate.

The former Duke of York, 66, has been stripped of his titles, evicted from Royal Lodge, and is no longer living with his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson. Recent photographs have shown him on solo dog walks and driving alone in his car.

However, according to a new report in the Telegraph, Andrew does have one source of solace remaining – as his siblings are apparently stepping up to support him.

Princess Anne, 75, is even said to have remained in contact with her disgraced younger brother over the phone and gave him a call on Christmas Day when he was still living in his Windsor home, according to Richard Kay in the Daily Mail.

The Princess Royal also allegedly suggested that Andrew could move into her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire, prior to his Sandringham move. “This is a sibling issue now. Who else does he have left?” a source told The Telegraph.

Prince Edward also showed his older brother Andrew a surprise show of support with a visit to Sandringham over the Easter weekend. The Duke of Edinburgh became the first member of the royal family to visit the former prince following his arrest in February.

According to The Sun, Prince Edward, 62, visited Andrew at the Sandringham Estate to have a “quiet word” about finally moving into his permanent home in exile.

The publication also reported that Edward was due to stay at Wood Farm over Easter but Andrew refused to leave and was “dragging his heels” about moving into Marsh Farm, his permanent home.

Edward was the first senior royal to comment on his brother’s recent scandal. When asked at a recent conference in Dubai, Edward said: “I think it’s all really important, always, to remember the victims, and who are the victims in all this.”

Buckingham Palace did not comment when contacted by HELLO! previously.

Family members distancing themselves

The King and Queen, and Prince and Princess of Wales have all released official statements about Andrew, implying their growing distance from him amid his ongoing scandals.

Charles, 77, stripped Andrew of his remaining titles last October. Following his arrest in February on suspicion of misconduct in public office, the King stated that “the law must take its course” and said he was “deeply concerned”. Prince William and Kate were understood to support his statement at the time, though they did not release an individual message.

According to the Telegraph, Andrew’s daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, “appear to have distanced themselves” from him.

Even Sarah Ferguson, who has always supported Andrew through thick and thin, was reported earlier this week to “not be talking that much” to her ex-husband these days.
