Princess Beatrice‘s husband has once again confirmed their marriage is smooth sailing in a rare, one-off interview.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who married the eldest daughter of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson in 2020, sat down for a Q&A session with The Gentleman’s Journal this week.
The father-of-three, 42, was asked “a few questions on life, style, and the people and places that matter to him” at a Long Summer Lunch Event at Blenheim Palace on Wednesday.
Edo opened up about spending time in locations such as the Amalfi Coast, Mozambique, and London, before subtly putting any marriage rumours to rest when asked what his “perfect holiday” would be.
He responded: “Getting off the beaten track, disconnecting from emails and news, and spending time with my family.”
Similarly, he listed his “biggest luxury” as “experiences, travel, and time with family”. Explaining how he relaxes, he said it’s simply “time with family and friends”.
Edo and Beatrice, 37, were faced with rumours of marriage difficulties back in March and have yet to address them publicly.
Are Edoardo and Princess Beatrice experiencing relationship difficulties?
However, the couple has appeared stronger than ever in recent months and have made several united appearances following the “rift” rumours.
Back in March, friends of the pair told HELLO! that rumours of marital strife between the pair were “not true at all”, saying they were navigating “busy jobs and looking after their children”.
In July, Edo and Beatrice shared a loving look as they attended Harriet and Peter Phillips’ wedding alongside senior members of the royal family, and took a selfie on a trip to Greece, enjoying a European summer.
Edo and Beatrice share two children, Sienna, four, and Athena, one. Beatrice is also a stepmother to Christopher Woolf (“Wolfie”), 10, from Edo’s previous relationship with Dara Huang.
Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi congratulates Princess Eugenie on birth of her daughter
Edo highlighted the importance of family this week as he congratulated his sister-in-law Princess Eugenie on the birth of her baby girl.
Beatrice’s younger sister welcomed her daughter on Monday, sharing an adorable picture of her new arrival to Instagram wearing a pink baby grow.
“Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie,” Eugenie wrote alongside the photo.
Edo quickly rushed to the comments to support her with three pink heart emojis and an angel.
The baby girl has not yet been given a name, but is a younger sister for August, five, and Ernest, three.
