In Vic-sur-Cère, the little Princess inaugurated a square in her name and received the keys to the city from the mayor, per Point de Vue. Later in Mur-sur-Barrez, Gabriella inaugurated a media library and took a microphone at one point and said (translated to English), “Hello and thank you Carladès,” before blowing a kiss.

The Prince’s Palace of Monaco shared photos from the royal family’s visit to Carladès on social media, writing (translated to English): “Eleven years after a first official visit, the Sovereign Prince returned with his family to these lands rich in meaning for the House of Grimaldi, in order to strengthen the historical ties between the Principality of Monaco and this region of France. It was also an opportunity for Princess Gabriella, Countess of Carladès, to be honored during this day, which was hosted by local dance schools, choirs, and folk troupes. A centuries-old heritage The County of Carladès, annexed to Monaco since 1643 by decision of King Louis XIII, was granted to Prince Honoré II. Since then, the title has traditionally been held by the second in line to the throne. Thus, Princess Gabriella received this symbolic title at birth, while her twin brother, Prince Jacques, became the Marquis of Baux.”

In another post of memories, the palace wrote (translated to English): “The Princière family would like to thank the people of Cantal and Aveyron for their warm and friendly welcome. This princely visit illustrated the continuity of a living link, between memory, history and attachment between Monaco and the Carlades.
