Princess Charlene embraced soft summer dressing as she joined Prince Albert and their twins for Monaco’s traditional U Cavagnëtu picnic on September 19.
The royal wore a flowing ivory dress with a draped neckline and softly flared sleeves, posing alongside Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella at Princess Antoinette Park.
At first glance, the delicate pattern appeared to be a scattering of flowers. A closer look revealed butterflies, bees and dragonflies among the pink blooms and trailing stems, giving the elegant design an unexpected finishing touch.
Charlene’s dress skimmed her waist before falling into a gently flared midi skirt. The loose sleeves finished around her elbows, while folds of fabric swept across the neckline.
She completed the look with pointed blush heels and a small white quilted handbag, keeping her jewellery simple with pearl stud earrings and her sparkling engagement ring.
Her blonde hair was swept into an updo, with softly curled strands framing her face. Rose-toned eyeshadow and pink lipstick complemented the muted colours of her dress.

Princess Charlene’s Erdem dress at Monaco’s picnic
Charlene chose a printed crepe midi dress by Erdem in the label’s Cabinet of Curiosity Ivory design. Her shoes were Gianvito Rossi’s Ascent 85 slingbacks, featuring an 85mm heel and a slim back strap.
The appearance continued a familiar colour choice for the princess. At the same celebration in 2025, she wore a white guipure lace dress with a high neckline and an asymmetric hem.
This time, the interest came from the delicate illustrations scattered across the ivory fabric. Blue dragonflies, dark-winged butterflies and tiny bees stood out against the pale background, with the print extending across the sleeves and skirt. Charlene left her neckline bare, allowing the draping and intricate pattern to remain the focus.
Princess Gabriella’s pink dress alongside Princess Charlene
Gabriella complemented her mother’s soft palette in a pale pink dress with a square neckline and short, sheer flutter sleeves. A narrow band of decorative trim defined the waist, while the skirt fell loosely below her knees. She wore her straight hair parted in the centre and added flat metallic sandals decorated with circular details.
Jacques coordinated with his father in a blue blazer, white shirt and beige trousers, finishing his outfit with pale slip-on shoes. Albert wore a darker navy jacket with metallic buttons, an open-neck white shirt and light trousers. In one photograph, he raised both hands to greet those gathered as Charlene and the children stood alongside him.

The custom dates back to 1931, with its name referring to the basket traditionally carried for a countryside picnic. The 2026 programme included an outdoor religious service and performances by La Palladienne, followed by food and time together around the tables.

She explained that the discipline she developed as an athlete helped her approach her commitments one at a time, while ensuring Jacques and Gabriella had the attention and support they needed.
Spending time outside together was particularly important to her, giving the children opportunities to explore the natural world around them. “We enjoy joint activities, especially outdoors, so that I can connect them with the Mediterranean environment and its fantastic nature.”
