It was a true delight for royal fans to see Princess Charlotte on Saturday. The young royal headed to the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

Charlotte arrived at The Hydro alongside her parents and brothers on 1 August, where the royals met with athletes from England and Scotland. Her hair appeared longer than ever, and she looked lovely in her polka-dot dress from the high-end brand Guess, which she teamed with sweet ballet pumps by Pretty Ballerinas.

Now she’s 11, Princess Charlotte is officially a tweenager

After turning 11 in May, Charlotte is now officially a ‘tweenager,’ a term coined for a child that is “be-tween” childhood and the teenage years.

The Prince and Princess of Wales have always favoured tradition when it comes to their children; you won’t see Charlotte embracing items from popular culture publicly – like K-Pop Demon Hunters or Labubus.

Clothing-wise, Charlotte wears age-appropriate items and no makeup, apart from a little nail polish.

Charlotte always looks ‘age-appropriate’

“At a time when many children aspire to look older than their years, it’s refreshing and lovely to see an eleven-year-old girl looking her age!” Charlotte Kewley, baby and children’s fashion stylist, tells HELLO!. “Not overly mature, not too casual. And never dressed in anything synthetic,” she explained. “Her style carries an idyllic quality that’s comforting in its tradition.”

The royal children love Jellycats

The world loves Jellycats! The plushies, which come in an array of designs, from a boiled egg to a takeaway coffee cup, are a craze loved by both kids and adults. We know Princess Charlotte is a fan too; her dad, Prince William, spoke about the world-famous brand in 2025, revealing his children’s love for the soft toys as he and the Princess of Wales attended a Buckingham Palace garden party.

Kate was handed two yellow toys in the shape of a lemon pie and a pickled onion, to which William quipped: “These are like gold dust. My children go crazy for these things. This is a children’s currency.”

Charlotte headed to Wimbledon last month, taking her seat in the Royal Box alongside her proud parents and her big brother, Prince George.

The young royal has always been a fan of jewellery over the years, and appeared to sport a brand new bracelet for this special occasion, donning the Ted Baker ‘Isabella Icon Charm Adjustable Bracelet’ in gold.

Readily available at John Lewis with a price tag of £48, the website says of the style: “Crafted with a gold-tone chain and featuring a mix of signature Ted Baker charms, sparkling European crystals, and elegant faux pearls, this bracelet adds a stylish and versatile touch to any outfit. The adjustable clasp ensures a comfortable fit, and it comes packaged in a Ted Baker-branded gift box.”

Charlotte defied royal nail polish rules in 2025

Pink nail polish

In 2025, Charlotte arrived on Centre Court at Wimbledon to see Jannik Sinner defeat Carlos Alcaraz. Eagle-eyed royal fans noticed she was wearing pink nail polish. The royal was seen sporting a candy-pink manicure for the very first time, despite widely reported royal rules around nail polish – it’s believed that it is seen as more appropriate for royal ladies to wear a nude, clear, or soft pink nail polish, if any at all, on royal outings.
