One week before Christmas, the Belgian Royal Family attended one of their most traditional annual events, the concert held at the Royal Palace of Brussels.

This gathering symbolizes the end of the year and serves as a gesture of gratitude for the support received during official engagements over the past twelve months.

Around 550 guests were welcomed last night by King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, and Princesses Elisabeth and Eléonore at an evening that blended classical music, Christmas carols, and dance. The concert will be broadcast on television on the morning of December 25, ahead of the monarch’s traditional Christmas address.

Despite the absence of Princes Gabriel and Emmanuel, who were unable to attend due to academic commitments, it was a very special evening for the King, the Queen, and their daughters, all of whom were involved down to the smallest detail, including decorating the Christmas tree.

The traditional Christmas celebration took place at the Royal Palace in Brussels in the presence of King Philippe, Queen Mathilde, Princess Eléonore, and Princess Elisabeth.

The four of them exuded festive elegance, perfectly suited to the season and highly inspiring for our own looks for upcoming special occasions.

An elegant heir to the throne:

As expected, the heir to the throne was one of the standout figures of the event and shone in her own right thanks to her natural ease, her warmth, and, of course, her striking outfit.

She revisited a design by Rebecca Vallance that she first wore last May at the final of the Queen Elisabeth Piano Competition 2025 in Brussels. The dress is an elegant and modern black crepe design that fits close to the body and features structured short puffed sleeves.

As the brand explains, the dress has a concealed back closure and is fully lined, ensuring comfort and a flawless finish, while its combination of embellishments makes it a special piece for festive or gala occasions.

The truly spectacular touch comes from the crystal embroidery arranged in the shape of three stars around the waist, creating a belt-like effect that enhances and elongates the figure to the maximum.

The princess chose eye-catching earrings that echo these motifs, a dangling pair combining gold and silver tones, crystals, and pearls. They were handcrafted in Rome and belong to Queen Mathilde, who first wore them in 2016, though her daughter has worn them on several occasions as well.

She completed the look with a matching clutch and classic court shoes. As for her beauty look, she wore her hair loose, styled with a center part and sophisticated waves, just like her sister Eléonore. Both opted for refined yet youthful makeup, with a luminous finish and even subtle shimmering touches.

Eléonore of Belgium’s party look:

The youngest member of the family debuted a dress by Ba&Sh, a Parisian contemporary womenswear brand known for its elegant, feminine style with a bohemian touch.

She chose a design with a V-neckline, a cinched waist, and kimono sleeves, a detail that adds a modern and distinctive touch, featuring sequin embroidery. The dress is made from a fine braided knit fabric produced with recycled synthetic fibers, which not only provides a technical finish but also reflects the young royal’s concern for sustainability and the environment.

Queen Mathilde’s glamorous ensemble:

For her part, Queen Mathilde was the most daring of the night. She chose a dress that incorporates two of the most iconic elements of Christmas looks, sequins and metallic tones.

She retrieved from her wardrobe a Natan design, one of her go-to fashion houses, made-to-measure and exclusively for her. The dress features a discreet bateau neckline, short flared sleeves, and a defined waist.

It is covered in small golden paillettes and decorated with white flowers scattered across the bodice and becoming denser toward the lower part. Originally, the straight skirt fell to the ankles, but on this occasion she wore it shortened to mid-calf, suggesting it had been altered.

For accessories, she recycled a pair of gold pointed-toe pumps with slim heels by Gianvito Rossi and opted for one of her favorite clutches for major events, a Giorgio Armani creation in lamé with a detachable chain. For her beauty look, she stayed true to her signature hairstyle, classic, softly waved, and with volume at the roots.
