Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have shared the happy news that they have welcomed a baby girl – but are yet to reveal her name.
The couple, who have been married since 2018, said they were “so excited” and “beyond in love with our girlie” as they revealed they had welcomed their daughter in a hospital in Lisbon, Portugal, on Monday.
Unusually, the announcement didn’t include a baby name reveal, and royal fans are eagerly waiting for news of the moniker.
However, they may be kept on their toes for a while longer.
HELLO! understands that Eugenie, 36, and Jack, 40, are taking their time choosing a name for their new arrival and will announce it when they feel the time is right.
The baby girl’s older brothers are called August and Ernest, so Eugenie clearly has an adorable taste in names – and it will all be worth the wait!

While it may seem unusual to not include a name in the official announcement, Eugenie and Jack have previously taken their time to decide their children’s names, to ensure they pick the perfect one.
Similar to his newborn baby sister, August Brooksbank‘s name was not included in the palace’s statement or in Eugenie’s initial post announcing his arrival in 2021. His full name, August Philip Hawke Brooksbank, was revealed 11 days later in a post on the Princess’ Instagram.

Both names hold meaningful significance for the family, so it’s likely the new name will follow this tradition too.
August was named after multiple relatives, including Eugenie’s paternal grandfather, Prince Philip. And, after Ernest was born, Eugenie wrote on Instagram: “He is named after his great great great Grandfather George, his Grandpa George and my Grandpa Ronald.”

Jack and Eugenie’s baby will be 15th in line to the throne.
“Her Royal Highness and her daughter are doing well. Princess Eugenie and Mr Brooksbank are deeply grateful to the hospital staff for their care,” Buckingham Palace shared in an official statement on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Eugenie took to her personal Instagram account to share a sweet image of her new arrival in a pink babygrow.
She said: “Jack and I are so excited to announce Baby Girl Brooksbank!! We are beyond in love with our girlie.”
Eugenie and her older sister, Princess Beatrice, are the daughters of Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
