The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s adorable redhead daughter, Princess Lilibet, is four years old, and although the royal couple have never shared her full face on Instagram, they have shared various subtle shots of their pride and joy, and she has the most fabulous wardrobe, brimming with girly pieces.
On Valentine’s Day, Meghan posted a special family tribute. “These two + Archie = my forever Valentines,” she penned, captioning a photo taken at her Montecito mansion, where Prince Harry stood, cuddling Lilibet, who held a bunch of red balloons.
Many remarked that the four-year-old royal looked like a ballerina, in her soft pink top and adorable floaty skirt.
Lilibet’s tulle dress
Last year, when the couple celebrated Lilibet’s fourth birthday with a plethora of images on Instagram, one heartfelt picture showed the young royal walking hand-in-hand with her proud dad, Prince Harry, on the beach.
As a fashion editor who has been writing about royal style for over eight years, I couldn’t help but notice her delightful frothy tulle dress.
The cream design had a flounced, slightly exaggerated skirt which simply screamed Disney Princess. With her hair in pigtails topped with a cute hat, she looked like a mini fashionista. This traditional style of dress is reminiscent of a Victorian ballgown as it had a slightly dropped waist, puff sleeves and was designed with super sweet ruffles.
Thankfully, it has never been more chic to dress your little girl like a princess, and there are some great dresses out there that have royal style in mind. This rainbow tutu number from Monsoon features the ever-nostalgic My Little Pony, which is a fun, joyful take on this trend, and Needle & Thread has a more formal dress that would be ideal for a special occasion.
Lilibet’s ‘sweet’ bond with Prince Harry
In the same post that Lilibet donned the tutu dress, Meghan described her daughter and husband’s relationship, writing: “Daddy’s little girl and favourite adventurer. Happy birthday, Lili!”
Meghan also shared photos of Harry with their daughter, saying it had been “the sweetest bond to watch unfold”.
Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor was born on 4 June 2021 in California. She was named in honour of her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II, who was affectionately called Lilibet by her family. Her middle name, Diana, honours Harry’s late mother. Lilibet is the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s second child. Prince Archie, their eldest, was born in 2019.
