Princess Märtha Louise of Norway’s home is up for sale. King Harald V and Queen Sonja‘s daughter, 53, is selling her house in Lommedalen. The royal first revealed in May that the property was for sale. At the time, she wrote on her personal Instagram (translated to English): “Our house in Lommadalen has been the best place for our children to grow up. That’s where we have the most peace, recharged. So close to nature, but still not so far from Oslo. And with Bærums Værk right around the corner. It is in this house that we have had the funniest parties, the greatest conversations, the deepest meditation. Our ups and downs.”

“We have enjoyed ourselves in the nearby area with nice trips both on skis and on foot, and it is at the neighboring stable, Stall Eide, that the children learned to ride,” the mom of three continued. “The slalombakken in Lommedalen was diligently used and even though we are not golfing, the golf course is right by (with a very nice ake hill in the winter). But there’s a time for everything, and we’re all excited for new people to experience this wonderful house to live in. Finding the same peace, the same joy of seeing the children playing in front of the house. Finding a place they can call home. Sink into bird quotes and lower their shoulders every time they drive past the waterfall below the house on the way home. We’re all looking forward to meeting you.”

The four-bedroom home is listed for 18,000,000 kr, which is about $1,861,119.14. The Princess took to her Instagram on Aug. 3 to share that the “fantastic house is now up for sale again.” She penned, “Just waiting for a new family to love it as much as we have. Horses, skiing, golf, and outdoor activities within a 5-minute radius. The house loves children laughs, game nights, movie nights, music nights, birthday parties, family dinners, low shoulders, sleepovers and late night cooking with good friends. We have so much to thank this beautiful house for and we look forward to someone else having the opportunity to experience the security it provides. Maybe it’s you guys? ❤️❤️.”

The home is described as “a very sunny, secluded and representative property in Lommedalen.” According to the listing description, “The 5.7 acre property appears very private as it is located at the end of a cul-de-sac. The main house was built in 1939 and later rebuilt/added to in 1966/1993/2005, an annex with a fireplace was built in 1937 and rebuilt in 1994, a poet’s room built in 1940 with a fireplace, a kitchenette and a bathroom, as well as the garage built in 1966. The location of the buildings is user-friendly and the entire property appears to be an ‘idyll in the forest’. Ideal for families with small children. The property appears well-maintained and in contemporary condition, although in need of some upgrading. This is a unique property in a rural environment. Ideal for horse riding, golf, walking, fishing, cross-country skiing and alpine skiing. Only half an hour from central parts of Oslo.”

The Princess’ husband, Shaman Durek Verrett, commented on her latest post about the house, writing: “I will miss this sanctuary ❤️.”

The couple will celebrate their first wedding anniversary later this month. Durek married the Norwegian Princess on Aug. 31, 2024 in Geiranger, Norway. King Harald V, Queen Sonja, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, Prince Sverre Magnus and Märtha’s three daughters from her first marriage to Ari Behn, Maud Angelica Behn, Leah Isadora Behn and Emma Tallulah Behn, were all in attendance.

“Our love has triumphed against all odds and will last forever,” the bride said after the ceremony. Durek added, “Love transcends all things because love is the original energy that we all are on this planet. It triumphs everything.”
