Priscilla Presley has been forced to address claims that Sarah Ferguson is living with her. A spokesperson for the 80-year-old widow of Elvis Presley told People that speculation that the former Duchess of York is living with her is “totally false”.
It comes amid reports that the ex-wife of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has been living with friends after the former prince (who she had been living with since 2008) was evicted from Royal Lodge on the Windsor Home Park estate in February.
Is Sarah Ferguson living with friends?
Both Andrew and Sarah were stripped of their royal titles and honours by King Charles in November, amid renewed links to Jeffrey Epstein.
Before Priscilla’s representative rebutted claims that Sarah had become her new housemate, Page Six reported that the mother of Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie has been spending time with Priscilla at her Century City penthouse in Los Angeles, while navigating issues that arose during the planning stages of an alleged New York move.
The same Page Six report claimed that the former sister-in-law of King Charles was “effectively homeless”, and that her daughters have refused her respite in the homes they share with their husbands and children.
The American publication also suggested that Sarah’s reputation is “radioactive”, causing friends to pull away.
How were Sarah Ferguson and Priscilla Presley in contact?
Sarah and Priscilla’s connection stems from the friendship the former duchess had with Priscilla and Elvis’ late daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.
Upon Lisa Marie’s death in 2023, Sarah referred to her as her “sissy” in a social media tribute, adding: “You have been my devoted friend for many years, and I am here for your family to support and love them.”
Sarah Ferguson suffers fresh blow
Reports of where Sarah Ferguson may be staying in the US came after she was stripped of her Freedom of York honour. Councillors in York voted unanimously to remove the title which had been bestowed upon her in 1987.
Liberal Democrat councillor Darryl Smalley said during the debate on 26 March: “We now know, following the release of thousands of documents, that Sarah Ferguson too had a close friendship with Epstein, which continued well beyond his conviction.
“We don’t expect recipients of York’s highest honour to be saints. We simply do not want them to be best friends of convicted paedophiles.”
