Happy Friday! Summer is in full force, and it’s been an epic season for new music. With music festivals like Lollapalooza and Hard Summer Nights happening this weekend, now is the perfect time to get your playlist ready and bring the party to your living room. Check out the hottest releases dropped this week from a variety of genres, names you love, and artists to watch.

Danny Ocean x El Alfa – Pirata

Danny Ocean just dropped his fourth studio album, Babylon Club, and it’s packed with big names and good vibes. The 14-track project features collaborations with Arcángel, Aitana, and more, blending reggaetón, pop, and Caribbean beats. One standout is “Pirata,” his collaboration with dembow king El Alfa.

Maria Becerra – INFINITOS COMO EL MAR

Maria Becerra drops “Infinitos como el mar,” the second chapter in her dark, emotional saga as Shanina. This time, love spirals into obsession as Shanina falls for a violent, magnetic man and starts to lose herself in his world.

BETWEEN FRIENDS – Chevron

Brother-sister duo BETWEEN FRIENDS release their highly anticipated album, WOW. Savannah and Brandon Hudson never miss when it comes to making a top-to-bottom listening experience. Bringing electronic, pop, and FUN, there is nothing but good vibes. “Chevron” is one of the tracks that showcases their unique sound.

Emilia – perfectas

Emilia’s EP perfectas has arrived. The genre-blending EP confronts the myth of the “perfect woman” and confronts insecurity, self-sabotage, and the pressure to chase perfection. The focus track “perfectas” is a pop paradise.

Rauw Alejandro – Buenos Términos

Rauw Alejandro leans into his “toxic” era with “Buenos Términos,” a steamy Afro-Caribbean-inspired single about a love you just can’t quit. The song captures the push and pull of a stormy relationship and comes with a dramatic music video.

Los Ángeles Azules, Manuel Turizo – El Despertador

Manuel Turizo dives deep into cumbia with “El Despertador,” a heartfelt collab with legends Los Ángeles Azules. “It’s for anyone still moving forward even if they haven’t fully healed,” says Turizo, a longtime fan of the iconic Mexican group.

Grupo Frontera – Lalala

Grupo Frontera is back with “LALALA,” a nostalgic yet upbeat single that blends emotional honesty with their signature charm. Following their surprise EP Y Lo Que Viene, the new track dives into the lingering memories of a past love.

NEZZA – El Pendón Estrellado

After going viral, NEZZA makes history with the release of “El Pendón Estrellado”, the official Spanish rendition of the U.S. National Anthem. The release follows her performance at Dodger Stadium where she went against the grain. “This is for my people, for my culture,” NEZZA says. “The American story includes all of us.” Half of the anthem’s proceeds will go to A Place Called Home (APCH), whose youth music program brought in eight performers for the recording and video. The other half will support immigration defense nonprofits, including the Esperanza Immigration Rights Project.

Chappell Roan – The Subway

Chappell Roan finally releases her dreamy love ballad “The Subway,” which she first performed in 2024 at the Governor’s ball. “This song encompasses everything I love about New York City with the hope, heartbreak and healing that it has to offer us all,” she explained in her newsletter. “I def ripped my hair out trying to figure out the puzzle of how this song should feel musically and visually and emotionally, luckily there are some to spare.”

Rema – KELEBU

Get ready to dance with Rema. The Afrobeat king brings the fire on his new track, “KELEBU.” The high-energy track will have you moving your hips and is perfect for the summer dance floors.
