Rob and Michele Reiner’s daughter Romy steps out publicly after family tragedy

Rob and Michele Reiner‘s daughter, Romy, has made her first public appearance since her parents’ tragic deaths. Romy was photographed commemorating her 28th birthday on a beach outing with some of her loved ones.

In photos shared by The Daily Mail, Romy was photographed wearing sweatpants and a sweater for the daytime outing. She was spotted outside a beach house in Malibu.

Romy was accompanied by her boyfriend, Alex Silberberg, who was then seen walking a dog on the beach. The couple has been spending time in the beach house ever since Rob and Michele died in their homes. 

She celebrated her 28th birthday alongside her friends and loved ones in what was likely a somber occasion.

Rob and Michele Reiner were found dead in their home on December 14th. Their son, Nick Reiner, was arrested and is charged with two counts of first-degree murder. 

Romy and her brother Jake shared a statement a few days following their parents’ death. “Words cannot even begin to describe the unimaginable pain we are experiencing every moment of the day,” they said in a statement, as reported by PEOPLE. “The horrific and devastating loss of our parents, Rob and Michele Reiner, is something that no one should ever experience. They weren’t just our parents; they were our best friends.”

“We are grateful for the outpouring of condolences, kindness, and support we have received not only from family and friends but people from all walks of life. We now ask for respect and privacy, for speculation to be tempered with compassion and humanity, and for our parents to be remembered for the incredible lives they lived and the love they gave.”

The two shared a second statement thanking fans and followers of Rob and Michele for the love and support they’ve sent their way throughout the challenging time.

Rob and Michele Reiner were two of the most notorious figures in Hollywood, with the two meeting and falling in love on the set of “When Harry Met Sally.” They married in 1989, welcoming three kids throughout their marriage: Jake, Nick, and Romy. 

Rob acted and directed many beloved movies. Some of his most notorious films include “When Harry Met Sally,” “The Princess Bride,” “Stand By Me,” “This Is Spinal Tap,” “Misery,” and more.
