Everyone is wondering what in the world is going on with the Beckham family. While Brooklyn Beckham, who seems to be at the center of all the drama, is staying quiet on the situation, his brother Romeo Beckham is sharing cryptic statements, all while promoting positivity.
On Monday, the 22-year-old quietly dropped what many think is a message directed to the public, and rumors about the family and his ex, Kim Turnbull. “Be nice to people and don’t tell unnecessary lies,” Romeo wrote over a black-and-white still from the classic 1953 film Roman Holiday, starring Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck. The quote on screen read, “What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency,” offering no further context.

Around the same time, rumors began to surface that Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz had skipped David Beckham’s star-studded 50th birthday bash in May – allegedly to avoid an encounter with Turnbull. Though sources called the story “nonsense,” it fed into the ongoing narrative of a family divide.
Brooklyn has been at the center, with insiders claiming he and Nicola are no longer on speaking terms with his family. While a source close to the couple told E! News the claims were untrue, they also confirmed Brooklyn and Nicola have hired legal help to “combat the spread of misinformation.”

Allegedly, right when Brooklyn and Nicola were about to have their first dance, Victoria was unexpectedly called on stage by Marc Anthony, who was performing as a gift, and instead of Brooklyn and Nicola dancing, Victoria ended up slow-dancing with her son. Nicola was reportedly totally blindsided and ran out crying, thinking Victoria did it on purpose.
Meanwhile, David Beckham shared a heartfelt throwback photo on Instagram with Brooklyn on Instagram, writing: “I love you, @brooklynbeckham.” The gesture, however, was seemingly met with silence. Brooklyn didn’t publicly respond or acknowledge the post.
Whether Romeo’s post was meant as a subtle dig, a plea for peace, or just a film reference, it’s clear something is going on with the family. Brooklyn even might have covered up his tattoo dedicated to his mom, Victoria.
