The official trailer for the highly anticipated third season of Euphoria has finally arrived, and fans are already buzzing about one standout moment, the first look at global superstar Rosalía in her acting debut.
Set to premiere on April 12, 2026, on HBO Max, the new season promises a darker, more mature chapter for the series, including a five-year time jump that moves the characters beyond high school and into the complexities of early adulthood.
First look at Rosalía’s character:
In the newly released trailer, Rosalía appears as Magick, an exotic dancer working at a nightclub called the Silver Slipper. Her character is already drawing attention for her bold and unconventional aesthetic, most notably, a dramatic orthopedic neck brace adorned with crystals, which she wears while performing on a pole in one of the trailer’s most talked-about scenes.
Magick is described by series creator Sam Levinson as funny, tough, and emotional, and according to early previews, her presence will be impactful and deeply woven into the storyline.
Key story connections:
The trailer hints at significant interactions between Rosalía’s character and fan favorites played by Zendaya (Rue) and Alexa Demie (Maddy Pérez). Given Magick’s connection to Maddy, fans are already speculating that their storylines will intertwine heavily in this new “post-high school” era.
In one scene, Rue and Maddy are seen engaging with Magick inside the club, teasing a dynamic that could reshape relationships moving forward.
A haunting voiceover in the trailer sets the tone,“The real disease is that people no longer know the difference between right or wrong.”
A season of resolution and reinvention:
While earlier teasers hinted at what’s to come, the official trailer reveals more of the evolving narrative, including potential resolutions to lingering conflicts from Season 2. With the time jump, the series shifts its focus toward identity, responsibility, and the blurred moral lines of adulthood.
Rosalía has expressed deep excitement about joining Euphoria, describing the experience as both inspiring and humbling. “It’s my first job. I’m learning, figuring it out,” she shared, reflecting on her transition from global music stages to a television set.
She also spoke about her admiration for the cast, admitting she initially tried not to distract Zendaya during filming, only to later discover the actress was already a fan of her music.
Balancing this new role wasn’t easy. Rosalía filmed her scenes while simultaneously finishing her upcoming album ‘Lux,’ calling the experience creatively intense and emotionally demanding.
Beyond acting, Rosalía will also contribute an original song to the season’s soundtrack. Levinson revealed he was struck by the thematic alignment between her new music, particularly a track titled “Divinize,” and the spiritual and emotional ideas shaping Season 3.
Rosalía herself described feeling unexpected “synchronicities” with her character Magick, noting a surprising personal connection that deepened her performance.
With its bold new direction, emotionally charged storytelling, and the addition of Rosalía, Euphoria Season 3 is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated television events of 2026.
