King Charles breaks royal tradition
Trooping the Colour, the annual military ceremony to celebrate the King’s official birthday, will be taking place this Saturday – but Charles is set to break a major royal tradition for the second year in a row.
When he rode horseback as sovereign for the first time back in 2023, the King also became the first monarch to ride in the parade since his late mother Queen Elizabeth II did so in 1986.
However, after riding in the carriage procession last year, it seems that he’s set to do so again this weekend, and perhaps leave behind his riding days for good – find out why here.
