Salma Hayek is sharing some of her fun on-set memories. The Mexican actress shared a video of her time spent shooting the film “How to be a Latin Lover,” which made for the perfect way of celebrating International Dance Day.
Hayek shared the clip on her Instagram, showing herself and her co-star Eugenio Derbez dancing along to Shakira and Alejandro Sanz’s “La Tortura.”
They are both wearing matching pajama sets, with Derbez wearing a silk blue set and Hayek wearing a white one with prints on it. The pair dance together in the midst of their trailers, high-fiving at the end of the dance and laughing as their audience cheers them on and claps for their performance.
“Yesterday was International Dance Day,” Hayek captioned the post. “Here’s a little bts throwback with Eugenio Derbez on set filming for ‘How to be a Latin lover.'”
“How to be a Latin Lover” came out in 2017 and became one of Derbez’s biggest hits, becoming a launching pad for many of his later projects, including his ongoing Apple TV series “Acapulco.”
Hayek plays the role of Derbez’s estranged sister, with their relationship serving as the crux of the film.
Hayek and Derbez have been friends for 30 years
While Hayek and Derbez have only made one movie together, the pair have known each other for 30 years, and are very close friends.
In an interview with Good Morning America, Hayek and Derbez revealed that despite knowing each other for years, life kept getting in the way of their collaboration. At one point in their interview, the pair opened up about their celebrity crushes, resulting in a funny exchange.
Hayek reached out to Derbez and held on to his arm. “Sorry baby,” she said.
“It was not me?!” Derbez joked.
“You’ve been my brother for 30 years before this movie,” she said. And then she revealed who her crush was: “Pierce Brosnan.”
