We’re days away from Sandra Bullock’s grand return to the screen, with her first movie in four years.

The actress, 62, took a break from films to devote time to motherhood and caring for her longtime partner Bryan Randall, who passed away in 2023 after a battle with ALS.

Sandra Bullock is returning to the big screen with “Practical Magic 2” this fall

But this fall, she’ll be back in the long-awaited Practical Magic sequel, titled Practical Magic 2, in which she reunites with Nicole Kidman, Dianne Wiest and Stockard Channing, and is newly joined by Joey King and Maisie Williams.

Plus, two new co-stars, who might be the most special of all. In a new interview at the romantic fantasy’s Los Angeles premiere, Sandra revealed that her two kids, Louis and Laila Bullock, make a cameo in the film as well.

“They’re in the movie, but not in an obvious way to you,” she explained to Access Hollywood, to the point that even they don’t know what that cameo will be. “I can’t wait to show them where it is, they don’t know where it is.”

She then took to gushing about how “unbelievably proud” she was of them. “And what’s amazing is that something happens when you have kids, where you stop being the influence on them and they become the influence on you.”

Sandra called her son Louis, 16, her “steadfast moral barometer,” even revealing that she uses the mantra “what would Louis do?” and when it comes to “spotting things and thinking forward,” that’s where Laila, 12, who she calls “Lai,” most shines.

“They’re so completely different, yet they give me two halves of a whole. It’s amazing,” she continued, even revealing that her kids were actually at the premiere with her, joined by their friends.

More than before, Sandra’s kids have entered the spotlight this year, with the star returning to the public eye with Practical Magic 2, plus making her Instagram debut in April (to a rapid influx of millions of followers). She’s even shared the occasional photo of her children on social media.

“It didn’t feel like it would ever be my thing,” the Gravity star explained of joining social media at the CNBC Changemakers 2026 event back in April. “I do have two kids, and I was like, I need to figure this out. So I’d been on social media, but quietly, just to learn and shop.”

She also noted that the only reason she was able to say yes to and film Practical Magic 2 in London was because it was over the summer, and her kids could join her on set (where they were joined also by Nicole’s two daughters, Sunday and Faith).

“I’m not going to sacrifice my time with my kids,” she said during the panel. “They’d be happy if I was gone, I would not.” She continued: “I do not do my best work if my children are struggling or if they need something and I can’t facilitate it. I’m raising my children, not anybody else.”
