Selena Gomez is honoring a very special person in her life — her younger sister, Gracie Elliot Teefey — in celebration of her 12th birthday on Thursday, June 12.
The Only Murders in the Building star took to Instagram to share a touching birthday tribute filled with cherished memories. Gomez, who is the daughter of Mandy Teefey and Rick Gomez, shares a close bond with Gracie, whose parents are Mandy and Selena’s stepfather, Brian Teefey.
To mark the occasion, Selena posted a heartfelt carousel of photos capturing sweet moments between the sisters over the years. The post opened with a throwback baby photo of Gracie, with Selena gently kissing her little sister’s hand.
Additional images showcased the duo’s close-knit relationship — from matching pajamas and snuggling under blankets to enjoying everyday adventures. One photo captured the sisters sharing a laugh, while another showed them wrapped in fluffy throws.
Selena also included a special memory from 2019: Gracie’s red carpet debut at the Frozen 2 premiere, where the singer-actress accompanied her then-6-year-old sister to the big event. Other snapshots featured Gracie holding an oversized stuffed animal and a bouquet of sunflowers, adding a playful, whimsical touch to the collection.
Beyond red carpets and cozy home moments, the carousel included glimpses into their sisterly outings — from beachside dinners to seaside strolls — highlighting the joy of their day-to-day bond.
One particularly endearing video showed a younger Gracie animatedly urging Selena to watch Taylor Swift’s “The Man” music video. And Swift isn’t the only artist Gracie’s gotten close to, Selena also shared a screenshot from a FaceTime call between her little sister and singer Gracie Abrams.
