The fourth annual Sueños music festival in Chicago took place over the weekend, offering an incredible experience that brought Latinos together. With a star-studded lineup, Latin music lovers had a place to feel safe and rock out to the biggest names in reggaeton, corridos, regional Mexicana, and, of course, experience the magic of Shakira. If you weren’t able to make the festival or want to relive some of the moments, we have you covered. Here are some of the biggest moments of the weekend.

Shakira

Shakira made history at the festival with the longest set in its four-year run. The Colombian icon gave festivalgoers a look at her sold-out “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran World Tour,” and it was a breathtaking, two-hour experience as she played the biggest hits throughout her career that started when she was just 14 years old.

For the fans who wanted an epic view of stars like Shakira without going down to the pit, the Verizon deck offered incredible views, charging stations, ice cream, its own bar, and good vibes. If you go to the festival in 2026, make sure you put the deck on your “must-visit” list.

Peso Pluma

Peso Pluma was supposed to play at the music festival in 2024, but his set was unfortunately canceled due to weather. The Mexican global superstar made up for it, putting on an amazing show. Always one to bring out a friend, the hitmaker brought out Óscar Maydon, who played earlier in the day.

El Malilla

El Malilla has become the face of Mexican reggaeton for good reason. The rapper has a unique ability to blend genres like hip hop, reggaeton, and is proving to be a star with his viral hits. Being one of the first performers at a festival is not easy, but El Malilla brought the crowd out early on Saturday to watch him perform.

Arcángel

As one of the most influential artists in Latin music, there is no denying Arcángel’s talent. The rapper took the stage Saturday, giving fans a taste of his nearly 20-year career.

Bellakath

There were not many Latinas on this year’s lineup, but Bellakath delivered with a short but sweet set. The Mexican songstress has some of the catchiest songs in Latin music with epic collaborations. She is an artist you don’t want to miss.

El Alfa

El Alfa had one of the most electric sets of the festival with nonstop bangers.  The Dominican rapper is a leader of the new generation of dembow artists and does not miss when it comes to his stage presence.

Wisin

Puerto Rican star Juan Luis Morera Luna, known as Wisin, took the stage on Sunday to the roaring applause of his fans. A true professional, Wisin never disappoints. A standout moment was when he happily showed love to his Mexican fans, wearing a flag on stage.

Kapo

Grupo Frontera

Grupo Frontera has become one of the most sought-after groups since they burst into the music scene in 2022. Originally from Texas, they are one of the biggest names in regional Mexican music, with a dedicated fan base. They took the stage Sunday for a special performance, showing off some rockstar-worthy black leather looks.
