Pax Jolie-Pitt, the 21-year-old son of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, has faced a series of frightening accidents recently, leading his mother to step in with some strict new rules for his safety. After totaling his Tesla in May 2024 and suffering severe injuries in a terrifying e-bike crash in July 2024, Pax has caused concern within the family for his wellbeing.
The actress is reportedly setting strict conditions for Pax’s return to the road. Apart from requiring him to take “defensive” driving lessons, she has made him sign a contract, which states he has to wear a helmet while riding his e-bike.
The first accident left Pax unscathed, but the second, involving his e-bike, was much more serious. “She’d love it if Pax would take these accidents as a warning and give up on this need for speed, but that’s very unlikely,” a source told InTouch.
“[Angelina] wants him to take some defensive driving lessons before he gets back out there, he’s agreed to that as part of the consequences of the crash. And she’s made him sign a contract promising he’ll always wear his helmet,” the insider detailed.
They continued, “It’s still going to give her anxiety every time he leaves the house on his bike, all she can do is hope that Pax is realizing how lucky he is to be alive with his brain intact and that he will act more responsibly on the road going forward.”
Inside the terrifying accident in Los Angeles:
Lola Cavalli, one of the first people on the scene of the accident, told Entertainment Weekly she called 911 after witnessing the crash. “I was directed to apply pressure at the site where it was bleeding,” she said. “His mouth was filled with blood. When [he] was trying to speak, I saw a little tiny stream of blood coming out of the mouth,” she added.
“We did everything we thought would be necessary to make sure that the ambulance arrived, and [to make sure] oncoming traffic from both directions keeps on moving, instead of piling up, which would make our ambulance’s approach impossible completely.”
Pax was taken to the ICU, and another source told People that he“suffered complex trauma,” and would have to undergo a “long road of recovery and physical therapy.”
