Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia of Spain joined their parents and grandmother Queen Sofia at this year’s dinner for authorities at Marivent Palace. Monday marked the first time that King Felipe and Queen Letizia‘s teenage daughters have attended the traditional summer reception. Leonor and Sofia stepped out in style for their debut, wearing summer dresses.
The Princess of Asturias, 19, borrowed a dress from her mom for the occasion. Leonor donned the blue and white off-the-shoulder number from the Desigual x Stella Jean collection that Letizia wore to the same reception in 2023. Just like her mother did at the time, the Princess completed her look with a chic ponytail. Infanta Sofia, 18, on the other hand, let her hair down and wore for a pink tie-dye midi dress from Zara.

Like her granddaughters, Felipe’s 86-year-old mother opted for a colorful print, which she teamed with aqua-colored pants. Letizia, by contrast, stunned at the event, dressed in a white maxi dress by Tony Bonet.

Among the roughly 700 guests was Rafael Nadal. King Felipe granted the retired Spanish tennis player the title of Marquis of Llevant de Mallorca this past June.
Leonor and her younger sister Sofia greeted guests alongside the King, Queen and their grandmother. Two days before the reception, the Princess of Asturias accompanied her dad to the 43rd Copa Del Rey MAPFRE Sailing Cup. Leonor was also spotted leaving Palma de Mallorca’s Rívoli cinema with her mom and sister on July 31.
© Carlos Alvarez/Getty ImagesAfter the summer, the Princess of Asturias, who completed her naval training in July, will begin her final year of military training. The future Queen is set to join “the San Javier General Air Academy for the 2025-2026 academic year” as an Ensign Student.
Meanwhile, Infanta Sofia, who graduated from UWC Atlantic in May, will be going abroad for college this September. The King and Queen’s younger daughter will be studying Politics and International Relations at Forward College. The three-year degree is taught in Lisbon the first year, Paris the second and Berlin the third. HOLA! Spain previously reported that there were conditions for Sofia studying outside of Spain, including picking a place not far away so she could fulfill her commitments as a member of the royal family and that her studies serve the interests of the Crown.
