Suki Waterhouse shared rare insight into her motherhood journey on Monday with a photo of her young daughter’s 2nd birthday celebration.
Suki, who shares her baby with her fiancé, Robert Pattinson, took to Instagram to share a snap of herself crouching down next to a person dressed as the Sesame Street character Elmo, while surrounded by balloons adorned with Elmo’s face. She looked laid-back in jeans and a white T-shirt with a faux-fur vest thrown over the top.
“My princess is two,” the actress wrote in the caption. “She’s the light of my life.” While Suki and Robert have kept the name of their daughter private, the couple have opened up on several occasions about welcoming their child in March 2024.
“We really planned it. One day, we looked at each other and said, ‘Well, this is as ready as we’re going to be,'” Suki told Vogue of their decision to start a family. “I was like, ‘What can make more chaos?'”
“He was there with me and, like all dads, he was really nervous, but for someone who’s quite an anxious person, he’s been very calm,” she continued. “I mean, a dad and his daughter? It’s an actual love story.”
Robert spoke to GQ about how his mindset around work changed when their daughter arrived. “I didn’t mind [children]. I would tolerate them,” he said, adding that now, being with his baby is “the most fun thing. I think it’s absolutely wonderful.”

“Even if you’re on the other side of the planet, you’re like, ‘Okay, I cannot spend more than 10 days away.’ After 10 days of being away, it’s physical pain. It’s so interesting, your body chemistry changes without you even thinking about it.”
As for Suki, the singer has taken to motherhood like a duck to water. “It is a lot,” Suki shared on the Today show. “It’s just that love – just completely and utterly besotted. I didn’t know that it would be this good.” She added that their young family had a tradition of playing in the pool in the evenings and enjoying quality time together.
© Instagram“We have a routine of putting her in the swimming pool and jumping in and out of the pool,” the Daisy Jones & the Six star said. “That’s just always the most fun. End of the day, 5 p.m., we all get in the pool and be silly. It’s amazing.”
© InstagramSuki later told E! News that her daughter was already becoming a fashionista, just like her mother. “She’s so wonderful. She’s like, her own person. She’s gonna be two,” Suki explained. “She’s constantly making me take off my rings, and she loves jewelry and sparkly things. I feel like she loves what I like, so it’s been really, really fun to include her and everything.”
Suki and Robert first began dating in 2018 after meeting at a house party, and got engaged in December 2023 after she revealed they were expecting their first child together.
