Sydney Sweeney and Scooter Braun: Inside their reported romance

Sydney Sweeney is making headlines for her dating life, and this time, it is not involving Orlando Bloom. According to multiple sources who spoke with PEOPLE, the 27-year-old “Euphoria” star is “casually hooking up” with music executive Scooter Braun, 44. While neither of their reps has commented, insiders confirm the two are indeed spending time together, keeping things low-key and fun.

Speculation about the duo began after Sweeney and Braun were spotted on the star-studded guest list at Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez’s lavish Venice wedding in June. While Katy Perri’s ex was initially believed to be interested in the actress, the publication’s sources have confirmed that the two are “casually seeing each other.” 

One insider kept it simple: “Everything is casual. She is living her life and working hard.”

Timing After Sweeney’s Breakup

This news comes just months after Sweeney ended her engagement to longtime partner Jonathan Davino. The two began dating in 2018, they got engaged in 2022, and ultimately called off their wedding plans earlier this year. In May, Sweeney candidly told The Times that she was newly single, admitting she was “learning a lot” about herself and cherishing her time with friends.

At the time, sources close to the actress shared that the relationship had been rocky for a while. One explained that Sweeney was in the middle of a career boom she wanted to fully focus on, and the engagement simply didn’t feel right anymore.

Braun’s Life After Divorce

For his part, Braun has been navigating life after his 2021 divorce from Yael Cohen, with whom he shares three children: Jagger, 10, Levi, 8, and Hart, 6. Despite the split, Braun has emphasized his strong bond with Cohen, describing her as “family for life” and revealing that the two still speak daily.

In July, he opened up on Danielle Robay’s “Question Everything” podcast, calling Cohen one of his best friends and saying they don’t even refer to each other as “exes.”
