Sydney Sweeney is one of the most famous people in the world. The actress and producer is only 28 years old, yet every time she does anything, whether it’s a movie or an ad, the world has something to say. In a new interview, Sweeney opened up about the type of guys that she’s interested in, making it clear that there have been a lot of ups and downs in her love life.
Sweeney discussed her ideal type in a conversation with Cosmopolitan. “Athletic and outgoing and funny. I’m a sporty girl, so someone needs to be able to climb a mountain with me, go skydiving with me,” she said.
“And someone who loves their family.”
One of the biggest challenges Sweeney has faced has been finding a man who supports her big dreams and ambitions. “Look, I am a boss in my life. I take control. I go after what I want. I am confident, and I am successful, and I don’t actually need a man,” she said. “I’ve got myself. I’ve got an incredible group of girlfriends. I’ve got a team of bada** women. That is very intimidating to a lot of guys, so a guy needs to be able to stand in that with me.”
“It takes a very specific person who can handle the world that comes with me. There was a guy who I really, really liked, but he told me he can’t handle my world. It’s a hard thing.”
© Dia DipasupilShe shared the story of how, while discussing some of the most eligible bachelors with one of her best friends, she ended up getting herself a dog. “There was nothing good,” she said. “I was like, ‘I just want a guy who is loyal, who loves me, who is playful, and who will cuddle.'”
“And she goes, ‘Oh, so you want a dog?’ And I was like, ‘I guess I do.’ So we went on Craigslist, and I got myself a German Shepherd. And now I have Sully, who is my forever boyfriend. So to the readers out there who are like, ‘Oh, man,’ get yourself a dog.”

Sweeney spent most of her 20s involved in a long-term relationship with her ex-fiance, Jonathan Davino. She’s made it clear that she wants to date and have different experiences. Last year, she was photographed on various occasions with Scooter Braun, the notorious music executive.
The pair’s most recent outing included a hangout at Dave and Buster’s in Los Angeles. Before that, the two took a New Year’s trip to Europe.
