TV is finally coming back. While the summer has plenty of reality TV shows and other bingeable shows you can watch, Fall is where quality TV kicks off, ushering in the end of the 2025 Emmy season, and thus a bunch of TV shows that are likely to be featured as awards season kicks off. This year, fall will have a little bit of everything, from beloved shows returning with a new entry to new series eagerly awaited by fans and critics. Here are some of the shows that we’re most looking forward to this season: 

“Wednesday,” Netflix

The first half of the second season of “Wednesday” is now streaming. The second half of the series, which stars Jenna Ortega, Catherine Zeta Jones, Luis Guzman, and more, returns for its final half on September 3rd, concluding this year’s arc for the beloved and tormented teen. 

“Pluribus,” Apple TV+

“Pluribus,” Apple TV+

Developed by Vince Gilligan, of “Better Call Saul” and “Breaking Bad” fame, his new show has remained incredibly mysterious. All we know is that it’s set in Albuquerque, land of Gilligan’s previous hits, and that it stars Rhea Seehorn, who was previously one of “Better Call Saul’s” leads. 

“Only Murders in the Building,” Hulu

Premieres on September 9

The Selena Gomez-led fifth season of the beloved series is back with another mystery, with this show returning to its home base of New York. 

“Stranger Things,” Netflix 

Premieres November 26

The fifth and final season of “Stranger Things” is coming out within months. The sci-fi show will premiere in three parts, concluding the story of Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown). 

“Peacemaker,” HBO Max

Desperate to know what’s going on in the world of “Superman”? The second season of “Peacemaker” has your answer, continuing the story laid out by the hit film as they follow the titular character in new adventures.

Mark Ruffalo leads the new HBO series

Brad Ingelsby found great success with his crime series “Mare of Easttown.” He’s back with another HBO thriller, this time starring Mark Ruffalo. “Task” follows an FBI agent involved in a cat-and-mouse game as he investigates a string of robberies targeting drug houses. 

“The Morning Show,” Apple TV+

Premieres September 17

Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are back with the fourth season of “The Morning Show.” This season adds Marion Cotillard to its cast, playing a network executive. 

“Nobody Wants This,” Netflix

Premieres on October 23rd

“Nobody Wants This” was one of Netflix’s biggest hits upon its premiere. The second season continues the love story of its lead characters, throwing a few wrenches in the way, including new cast member Leighton Meester, of “Gossip Girl” fame.

Starring Matthew Rhys and Claire Danes, “The Beast in Me” follows the relationship between a writer and the real estate titan who moves in next door to her, with her making him the subject of her new book.
